Re: New Manager

I have nothing against foreign managers and if and when things get sorted i truly believe a foreign manager would be the best approach for reading football club. However we are in a bit of a pickle at the moment and need something different which is why i also would like to see either Parky or Garet...

Re: New Manager

Very underwhelmed if Bruce gets the job, however i can see why he is highly rated and would have the ability to keep us out of trouble. However i'm not sure how he would fit into the "Reading Way" of things and working with a small budget. This is where i would like to take a risk with may...

Re: The poll for a new a manager

Brynjar Gunnarsson and Ivar Ingimarsson as his no2, job done, he will forever be a legend for that nutmeg and cross. I don't really care if they can't manage, it will make Reading Fc fun again. :D :D :D

Re: Are we really going down this season

Stated before, Clement needs another window before we get rid, and i truly believe he can turn this around and as mentioned before, this isn't his mess!! If we can trim the squad in the window (8 to leave at least) and go with a much more compact and competitive squad as well as adding another CM, L...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a) sponsored by Nicky Forster

I liked the look of Simms, Loader and McNulty when they came on, they are all quick, neat and have good movement, its something i'd like to see more of moving forward. Kelly and Swift must be stopped from being on the same pitch together, it just doesn't work. Swift is clearly the better of the two ...

Re: Clement

I'm Clement in, slow steady improvement and i really believe this club needs continuity and needs to stick with Clement and give him at least two more windows to prove he has what it takes. Injuries have hampered the season so far most important being the Ezatolahi injury. The DM position is key to ...

Re: The very latest in Clement In/Out Polls

In - but its a 60/40 decision Was not a fan of the appointment, but he seems to have identified the issue with this group is down to mindset and attitude rather than raw talent. I think we have a tough January window ahead of us. We need to get players out but we also need to strengthen in some key...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Ipswich Town (h) sponsored by Orlando Sa

I really would like to see McNulty and Baldock up front. So either 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 with wing backs i guess, and having the three in midfield will allow us to compete with Ipswich who will pack there midfield i guess. Walker O Shea Moore Ilori Yiadom Blackett Bacuna Rinamota Kelly Baldock McNulty

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

If we don't have a big striker can't we play McNulty and Baldock in a 4-4-2, and have them run the wide channels rather than try to take on the CBs? This 100%, 4-4-2 and McNulty and Baldock as a tandem, both are tricky and skillful and would be a proper nuisance in the box. Two speedy wingers, i gu...

Re: RUMOUR - Steve Bruce

And whilst we are on the subject of hungry young up and coming managers! Bournemouth FC's current model ain't doing to bad with a young manager!! And i guess thats why the DOF is there to assist when needed.

And gates of 11,000 per home game

Re: RUMOUR - Steve Bruce

Aluko is on $25k a week whereas an academy player would be on $1k at best!! $25k, that would be £19.6k a week (assuming you're talking US$). And under £800 a week for the academy players. My bad, i don't have a Pound Sterling button on my computer lol (Live across the pond) however it sounds...

Re: RUMOUR - Steve Bruce

Bruce - wouldn't be completely against. Vastly experienced and you'd expect him to get us out of relegation trouble And then what? He's expensive and he won't play our Academy graduates. He could end up costing us as much as relegation. I've no particular love for Clement - I like the guy, and I do...

Walker Yiadom Moore Ilori Blackett Frost Bacuna Rinomohta Barrow Loader Baldock We need some fresh impetus in this squad and bringing in Loader, Rinamohta and Frost from the u23s should liven things up a bit. These youngsters are performing at a great level and yes i know its a step up in quality bu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h) sponsored by oh no, not another Saturday home game

It has to be 4-4-2 for me, we don't have the strikers to play one up top and i really think Bod and Baldock will play well together. Our biggest problem area is the midfield! there is no creativity and the players who could make something happen (Swift, Kelly) are both playing terrible at the moment...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (a) sponsored by 3 league wins in 2018

Thought we played well first half after a shaky start, we grew into the game and scored two good goals, and went into halftime sitting comfortable. Blackburn changed things up and came out hard and put us under lots of pressure. Then McShane gave away a calamitous penalty that any pro defender shoul...

Re: Summer Transfers

I still don't think we've got a centre back anywhere near close to Moore's quality, it's time for Ilori to step up or we should get a new quality cb to pair with Moore if he stays. Recruiting high quality at the back will give us more confidence when going forward. Barrow, an in-form Aluko and a ne...

Re: The Positive Thread - Only Positivity Allowed

I too am feeling positive about this season, we aint going up and we wont get to the play offs but i really think we will sit happily in the middle of the table which will be a job well done in this extremely tough looking championship league. I think we have some really good players and Clement has...

Re: Good or poor business

Current pricing for CFs atm is insane. So Baldocks price is probably about right. No point worrying about if he get injured as thats part of the game. Clement can only judge by what h has seen. We needed rid of deadwood in the middle, With Meyler coming in, Evans was probs the only asset in CM that...
