Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

The performance was nowhere near as bad as some on here are saying, but I guess the 8 pages of nonsense on the match page is based on what they heard from Low and Dellor. We were on top for the first 20 mins and nearly scored and then we lose 2 key players in quick succession which did affect the r...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Mr William Whitehurst

Brief highlights on Sky, Hull had a goal disallowed, offside I think. Manonne made a few decent save, and we went close few times 2nd half. 5th clean sheet, a point, didn't lose, WTF would it be like if we lost judging by social media tonight? Not offside, was given for a foul on Mannone, he had a ...

Re: FA Cup Round 4 Draw

I have ultimate respect for you Sir. Wasn't that the game that Paul Black drove back up to the next day when it was rearranged? I may have that completely wrong but read something about that in that article on the site during Brian pt. I No, I don,t think so. If the game had been rearranged for the...

Re: FA Cup Round 4 Draw

Went to Workington (Google says 18 miles further) back in the days when I think it was Roy Bentley who was the manager. Did not see the match though, it was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch and could not get the time off for it later in the season. Pre-motorway days and a Friday night game ...

Re: FA Cup Round 4 Draw

I'd love a trip up to Carlisle. For anyone whose been to a few grounds, it's an almost mythical one to "tick off". Just to have been to an away game there is like saying you've fought dragons, as other supporters swoon in shock...No! surely there's no-one alive who's been to a game that f...

Re: Return of the Pog

No, I wouldn't, but at 34 years old and hardly played this season, just the player the club will buy. If sacked, he won't cost anything except wages at £60,000 per week! A four year contract will of course be given.

Re: Moore or striker?

it seems as we must sell to buy. If you were given the choice of buying a new striker, but only if you sell Liam Moore, what would you do? I would stick with what we have got and promote Sam Smith to the first team(when fit). I mean play not sit on the bench. What do you think? Was this meant to be...

Good point Supposedly stole from the charity kitty, along with being generally spineless and not much of a team player As no one knows for certain who The Secret Footballer is, how can you claim that Murty is the culprit? Open your eyes man I have my eyes open but can see no proof. Please share wha...

Given the stuff that was mentioned in The Secret Footballer book I doubt Murty would be welcome back here :?: :?: :?: Good point Never read the secret footballer what has Murty supposed to have done . They have, no one disputes that. But we haven't been "spoilt" by any stretch. Look at how many teams did what we did and didn't fail horribly right after brief success. Burnley, Leicester, Stoke, West Brom, Bournemouth, [/u[u] ]Southampton, Palace, Watford and Swansea are all teams who we...

Re: BFTG - Stevenage

Who is making that comparison other than you? We were being compared to everyone else in the top few divisions and we were ranked something like 39th or 40th. Even many teams below us in the football league have won the top division as well as the cups. On history alone we are absolutely tiny in th...

Re: FA Cup Round 4 Draw

First, though. There is the little matter of winning the replay. Don't get carried away just yet, look at our home record this year. We may have a good record at home against lower division teams in the past, but when the Reading fans seem to think winning is the only option, what happens?

If not would go with him until the summer, least he would play youth with no hesitation and solves issue of not being in a position to spend money until the summer avoiding FFP breaches!

Has left for Arsenal. Confirmed on the RFC website a day or two ago.
