Re: The League of 4

It’s a unique madness of football fans that they see a rival who has won 8 of 43 games and 1 of the last 5 and for some reason decides they could win 2 out of 3 all of a sudden I would normally agree with you (and I don't think it will happen) but take a look at 2nd from bottom Fulham who have now ...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Right now I'm unsure of Ejaria, in that role anyway. Still, he's made strides in recent weeks. I suppose the next 4 games are big for him, as I suppose they are for many. Quite a few will want to impress and prove they belong, etc. We keep saying we won't be able to sign all 5 (actually 6), and the...

Re: Simon Rossiter

Fully agree with the opening post. Let’s hope the club that Simon loved concur and we can applaud him on Monday. Think we are better off waiting until his family tell us what they want tbf. I know we all mean well but it is ultimately up to them. Maybe Simon said what he'd like to happen to the clu...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

If you haven't listened to @elmparkroyals interview with Liam Moore which he posted today, it is well worth a listen. Loads of interesting stuff in there. How do we listen to this? https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/elm-park-royals/id1224296199 or https://soundcloud.com/elmparkroyals/liam-moore-...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Have only listened to about 20 mins of it so far, but it’s a very interesting listen The Clement stuff was good, and does explain a few things Sounded like he commanded zero respect to me, just doesn't have the credibility as a manager. Bit like a junior version of Steve McLaren. Great on the train...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

What do you think of Swift missing anyway? Big miss or is Ejaria good enough to fill his shoes? Right now I'm unsure of Ejaria, in that role anyway. Still, he's made strides in recent weeks. Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Can we all just stop arguing? The clubs in a better position now. And that’s a good thing? Clement was uninspiring and dragging the whole club down. Gomes is doing something right. We might lose games but after 50 minutes we’re not giving up. In fact we’re getting late goals. Gomes has finally give...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Disappointing that what should have been a pretty positive thread on the Brentford game has descended into another war of words over Gunter. There is so much criticism over his apparent failure to close players down and allow crosses to come in. I would suggest that over the past couple of seasons ...

Re: The League of 4

Yes it is just short of play off form which is hugely impressive considering the mess we were in. Loanees have made such a massive difference there - would be great if we could hang on to a few. Lewis Baker is a realistic signing especially if we sell Swift for good money. Oliveira too. We will str...

1.5 ppg over the season is borderline play off form. Re: The only slightly more advanced than shots/possession statistics thread

.... Striking that our starting two are almost identical, and Gunter only differs by being 4pp lower for passing accuracy. All 3 are incredibly consistent in only playing about 12% of their passes in the final third (vs 15.5% league avg)- this strikes me as quite different to the popular narrative ...

We signed Long at the start of June at the equivalent age. Obviously it's not cut and dried, but for me personally I think there's something diff...

Monday morning and still no report on the RFC website of Friday’s U23’s win at Fulham. They give the correct score 3-0 on the fixtures page however the match page says it finished 0-0 !!! All in all a pretty pathetic effort by the club !!! its up https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2019/april/u23s-gua...

Re: The League of 4

we showed fighting spirit to get a draw at Sheff Weds, to win against Wigan, to beat a Preston side on a 6 game winning run. We got spanked by Leeds, then went away to Stoke and got a good draw The Rotherham are fighters/we are bottlers thing is massively overdone for me. Just a cliche. Rotherham h...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Pretty decent performance . House lacked sharp , Baldock looks ready to play first team football, defence solid. House and Frost both took their goals very well. Kebano was lively but rarely in places that hurt us, Fulham created nothing apart from some long range efforts straight at Jaakola House ...

Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

He was great on his day...but not consistent enough. Nowhere near as consistent as Rino, so no let’s not take him back This. Also feel that Williams falls into the category of "will hold their own" in a PL team, without necessarily improving that team. But at Championship level he should ...
