Re: PoTS

That time of year again and I've seen it mentioned on the injury thread so thought I'd separate it onto it's own thread so we all know where it is 8) Can't really see beyond the three names below myself ⋅ Yiadom ⋅ Rino ⋅ Meite Can/could we include the loanees though? Y...

Re: Ex Players

see McNulty has been called up into the Scotland squad today Anyone else find it an absolute joke that he's up in Scotland banging in goals for fun and now has been called up to the national team for his performances, and we're playing a winger in his position with a youth product who is yet to del...

Re: Financial Fair Play

That'd be ace. Clear the whole site comprising Broad Street Mall, Penta Hotel, Hexagon, council offices, TVP and a magistrates courts and build a multi-purpose 24 hour community centre with a 50,000 capacity roller roof stadium for when we're in the Champions League. Oh, and re-open Sweeney Todd's....

Wow big accusation to make. Please show proof or I will report you. No proof. Just a gut feeling. Your prose/syntax is very similar and you seem to share similar views. There are no personal details associated with that account so not sure what you'd be reporting me for, but go ahead  No that ...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Jagermesiter1871 So how do we go about getting the club fan owned and moving this ship back to Elm Park?

Bit tricky buying all the houses in elm Park, and knocking them down.

Is there room to fit a stadium where the Hexagon is now? That would be a great location.

Re: Financial Fair Play

It's important to repeat that with this kind of ownership model, everything is dependent on the finances and desires of your owner. The day to day state of your finances or what the clubs owns/owes or doesn't isn't that important. I mean - obviously it makes a difference to our long term security i...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Firstly, raving on about Leeds. I thought Sheffield Utd were a much better and stronger all round ‘team’ than LUFC. Things I don’t get 1) constantly complaining about the size of the squad but there never seems to be anyone to select from. Understand injuries, but you can’t rely on one loanee strik...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Surely it would make sense to move Club1871 to say the East Stand, near the away fans? Granted, this could only be done at the end of season. Leeds would have filled than end last night and the club would have got around an extra £40k - £50k in revenue just off ticket sales alone..... Reckon a lot ...

Re: Rival Watch

Nice to see that idiot fan had to pay £100 compensation to Grealish, bet that made it all ok for JG Tbf always thought Grealish was a bit of a cock, but think he handled it incredibly well, both at the time and in his interview. Gone up plenty in my estimations Still got a ridiculous accent mind yo...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Not true. The rest of the ground filled up very quickly for this one so people had no choice but to sit in the south. Lets see how it is against Preston without a free beer offer. If it is anywhere near 500 I will concede. That's not true, Plenty seats available in Upper West and North, so it's not...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

It was a final throw of the dice. There's so far nearly 500 going into be in there tonight, without free beer . So, if it was a final throw of the dice, looks like it worked. https://twitter.com/Club1871/status/1105443002791743489 Not true. The rest of the ground filled up very quickly for this one...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

One of the worst performances of the season but easily the best I have felt after a game. Wigan got exactly what they deserved. Their manager seemed to fancy himself as the heir to Warnock. I want Gomes's babies. Really hope we have a couple of extra players fit for Leeds. This might be the most pe...

Re: Economics

Wasn't a big part of a CEO's job to ensure the club don't get seduced by the PL and massively overspend to try to reach it? Fan pressure should be irrelevant I can forgive a manager wanting the club to over reach to get him the best players (though Stam's subsequent whingeing I'm less happy about),...

Wait. Are you a girl? x Yup. Although "girl" is stretching it - I have adult children.... Literally had no idea you were female. Happy International Womens Day. Ta. It's generally irrelevant. Except for the appalling state of Reading women's hoodies. (all the ones I own are men's)

Re: £5 Comic Relief Red Reading Footy shirt

The pink and white Brighton shirts are (I believe) cut differently to suit the female figure. Reading used to sell ladies' shirts, but always in the blue and white hoops (possibly still do). General gripe because it doesn't just apply to sportswear, but t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and the like a...

Re: Financial Fair Play

THE player / coach numbers are presumably the total number who worked for the club at some point during the year. We didn’t necessarily have that number at the same time. So if you change managers during the period and say 5 people leave and 5 new ones join then that is 10 employed during the year....
