Re: CONFIMRED: Sone Aluko

If true then can we trust Tevreden going forward? Shocking value for money I reck there's loads of add-ons that bring it up to that price, but not up front stuff. Remember that the Fulham guy is going to want himself to look good too, it's not like he's a disinterested observer. Probably 3-4 mill, ...

Re: 2017/2018 - What went wrong?

All of the stuff Great post, and really interesting. Just wondering though - how do they determine accuracy for crosses? i.e., if Barrow totally overhits a cross which sails over everybody and gets picked up by winger/full-back the other side - does that count as accurate because it went to one of ...

Re: Rival Watch

TBH, if Stam went to Swansea and wanted Barrow, he's wwlcome to him if he'll stump up the cash, the guy is almost the definition of a luxury player and we could fill at least two, maybe three, holes with his fill. I'd far rather lose him than Moore. Assuming we have to sell in order to buy this Sum...

Re: RUMOUR - David Meyler

That also doesn’t stop them from being average. He was awful last season He isn't average. But what would you know with a username like that He couldn’t get into Hull’s team last season fella, if you think he’s going to improve the team you couldn’t be anymore wrong. Wonder how he managed to score ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

I do have it on very good authority from my inside contacts in the game, that Gunter is 99% going to leave to either cardiff, villa, or a lower table PL team. Gunter to Cardiff has to be the shoe-in transfer of the summer surely? Record bolding Welsh International returning to the club where he sta...

Average for what?

In the last 6 years he's had two promotions from the Championship, 3 seasons in the PL (two relegations), one FA Cup Final. That's actually pretty decent for a Championship player.

Like the sound of this, won't set the world alight, but is a good defensive midfielder. I wonder would he do any EASports related stuff? Obviously I approve on Nationality grounds also, with Stephen Quinn leaving, and Liam Kelly backing off from international football, the Irish representation at th...

Re: Summer Transfers

Everyone's favourite transfer breaker Courtney Friday suggesting that Wycombe are after Danny Loader on loan for next year. Might be a good idea Also that we are interested in Adam Hammill from Barnsley on a free Friday has his finger on the pulse at all times. He is well respected by players and s...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Josh Onomah Doubt we would/could buy him, but could be a loan signing. Just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. Plays def-mid (or, at least should). On loan at Villa this season, from Spurs. Villa may not want him in PL if they go up. He's down the depth chart in Spurs midfield, and behind another youngs...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Sounds like a sensible signing given our ambitions at the moment. He'll probably move between LB and RB cover for most of next season before fully replacing Gunter the one after. Next on the target list is someone in midfield who can make things happen and a decent striker. He's 26 and signed a 4 y...

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Interesting that BT (who has finally resurfaced) said we'd been after him a long time, as was the rumour. Wonder what the thinking is with Gunter. Obvs Yiadom hasn't been brought in as back up and wouldn't have been last season. Start of an interesting pre-season I think So we were after him at the...

Re: Building for next season

Actually think Clement's arrival and the subsequent run of form has been the best way Reading could have survived as PC would have learned a hell of a lot more about the squad and their mental make up than he would have done if Reading had gone on a winning run. Overall it's not a bad squad Reading...

Indeed. Should we have paid more last season because we got extra games for free the previous season and finished third?

Re: Rumour - Mason Mount

My point was - the clubs the player gets to choose between for a loan spell, are controlled by the club. so, if chelsea in their wisdom decide he'd be better off staying in England, so he could experience a different type of football than what he gets this season, Mount will be offered loans at whi...

Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

A right back? Does this mean the club is going to take a gamble on whether Obita will regain his form and recover from his injury in time for next season or whether Richards will make the grade? That's one hell of a gamble as left back is a real problem position for us. Also think it means Gunter m...

Not as good as they think they are Barrow Bacuna What a really poorly thought out post. How many games did you go to last season? Barrow was clearly our best player I went to all the home games and some aways. Barrow had loads of attack about him, but frequently not much end product. Often hung ont...

Wonder what Kermie would be like as a "shore us up" defensive mid-fielder, for when we're under the cosh. Surely that is some kind of sick joke? We're a Championship team not like a non-league outfit who have to fit square pegs in round holes every week! I see Kermie as a player we should...
