Do you think even our fanbase is twatty enough to have a pitch invasion if we narrowly avoid relegation?

Send us straight to League One now if so.

Much better reason for a pitch invasion than finishing 7th. I'll be there (maybe)

Re: The only course of action now...

It’s true Ian but I wonder how much the club are bothered. It still seems to be thought as the way to go - ie pay high wages. There has been absolutely no effort to cut the wage bill on the face of it - in fact I suspect it’s gone up significantly this year It's the bloated squad that bugs me. I do...

Re: The only course of action now...

Bournemouth were in breach when they got promoted. They negotiated a fine with the Football League and paid it. The problem comes when you don't stay up like QPR. They're still as far as I know appealing against their sentence from 4-5? years ago. With regard to transfers. I wonder if the seemingly...

Re: The only course of action now...

However, I'd take issue with the assumption that their spending means they are in breach. I looked at this before. Their turnover is higher than Reading's, their wage bill is lower. So despite appearing to be at risk of FFP breach, they are less likely to do it than Reading. It's not transfers that...

Dunno, but I do know they have occasionally used charter planes to get the players up North for matches. So it's obviously something they do, and therefore will have companies they use.

Re: The only course of action now...

Like I inferred, I am open to correction if I'm not factually correct in my interpretation. Yeah, I wasn't having a go, I was trying to add to the sum of knowledge Bournemouth were in breach when they got promoted. They negotiated a fine with the Football League and paid it. The problem comes when ...

Re: First team jetting off to Spain for intensive training

How easy is it to get a flight for a party of probably 30 or so people at short notice at this time of year? Very if you charter a private plane. Not even that expensive either, relatively speaking. I'd suggest a week of Beerens wages would cover it. Website below quotes between 2 and 12K for a ret...

Re: The drummer

Given the general bad feeling among many fans these days I'm surprised the club hasn't done more to replace the drummer. He didn't always get it right but he always encouraged positive supportive singing which, right now, might help the team a bit and shut the boo boys up. Y25 have never been great...

Re: The only course of action now...

This is my understanding of the rules but if anyone has the actual info then please feel free to correct me. Basically every three years you have to have accrued no more than £30m worth of losses. Wolves have gambled and spent big this season along with their combined losses from the previous two s...

In double d's defence, judas bets are a no brainer. We stay up, he's happy and doesn't care that he's lost £50, or whatever. We go down, he's gutted, but at least he's made a few hundred quid to soften the blow. What's the issue? It's not like he'd be willing us to go down just to win the bet. It's...

Re: The only course of action now...

can someone answer me this: Please excuse my ignorance on this topic but FFP So obviously this season we have struggled to perhaps get players in because of FFP. My question is this, next season does this kind of reset? do we have a larger purse so to speak to go out and blow loads of money on sign...

Re: FAO Season Ticket Holders - Renew or not?

Wont be renewing. What with bundles and Burton £5 there is no saving . Exactly Even without knowing where you two sit, I know this isn’t correct. Unless they're the kind of season ticket holder that only goes to half the games (e.g., no Tuesday nights etc) But otherwise, yeah, totally not correct.

Re: Look on the bright side

Had we got promoted there is a strong probability that our style of play would have seen us beaten Derby's record as the worst ever PL team. How do you know who we would have bought last summer? There are so many unknown factors to consider. We typically don't bother investing when we win promotion...

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

I don't recall any negativity last season, so I think Stam is just trying to re-imagine the past to justify his point. There was absolutely shed-loads of negativity last season. It's amazing how much people forget, and how quickly. We were barely three games into a new system that the players were ...

Re: Club announces new manager!

We have bought players who have gone through the youth processes at the bigger clubs, e.g.Ilori, Swift , Blackett, Moore,Evans and you could include Barrow at a push (is Swansea a bigger club?) I wouldn't include Barrow at all because he was 21 when he signed for Swansea after 4 years in Norway. Li...

The previous poster mentioned about the young fringe players being injured-there do seem to be a hell of a lot of injuries throughout the squad-is it just bad luck or is there more to it?. you're not the only one. We've had an extraordinary run of injuries. I'm sure Harriott, for instance, would ha...

Re: Club announces new manager!

I'm not sure Cooper really struggled. He generally looked good until he made a Blackett like cock up. I wouldn't say there was a lot between them tbh I don't think academy players should be seen as last resort either. The likes of Smith, Andresson, Rinomhota, Richards, Barrett and Watson could all ...
