Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Let's hope so :) I'm sure the boards prevented a large amount of the damage that the runners would have caused running on the grass (would have been very messy otherwise), and obviously when you are hosting some of the best runners in Britain you need a good solid surface for them to run on I didn't...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

The HM track would have been down for about 12 hours and it's obviously put down to protect the pitch, no feet pounding the grass, weight spread by the boards etc. not going to reply on the Irish thing, as like you say I do interpret it as a whinge, and you don't - fair enough. But the HM thing - a...

Re: Last 8 games

another beautifully written GR article (Though five of the eight games are against teams at the bottom of the table, all of whom have no one than a win in their last five games, an intense April schedule is set to test Royals) but it does give the info you want: http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/foo...

Re: BFTG - Wednesday (A)

It's a fair point on the geography of the teams in the division. 15 of the teams are Birmingham or more northern and you have Ipswich and Norwich which are miles away Inevitably a number of these away games have been away in midweek and the logistics of getting there and back obv affect the number w...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

"It's very difficult for us to make ends meet renting a stadium off Reading FC," Casey told BBC Radio Berkshire. "We have to look at it from a commercial side of things," the former Exiles second row added. "Where rugby is going at the moment, for us to be able to compete, w...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

More whinging from Irish - I very much doubt they will be up for contributing to relaying the pitch next year: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/39334085 They really seem to just want to go. Surely some crappy club in west London would have them to for a year or two to keep them quiet - QPR may...

Re: Top 10 Championship players.

Seen a few teams of the season appearing on sky and elsewhere. Usual suspects, no Reading players (obviously) I would have though AAH must be in the mix, I've not seen any other keeper stand out this year The other player mentioned on Sky to miss out ( based on whoscored ratings) was Yann. Surprised...

He is back scouting at Arsenal isn't he? Sure he is more than happy in that role to be honest

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

considering we are 5 pts clear, have dire Rotherham and a Wigan side not too far behind them both at home left to come, Wednesday have a game against Fulham - would be seriously disappointed if we didn't make the play offs now.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

The whole 'history' arguments are incredibly dull. Does anyone really care if a team like Weds are in the prem rather than a Reading or Bournemouth bar their own fans? Reading's hardly the place it was 20-30 years ago anyway. There's a potentially massive fan base there of young and successful peopl...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

He Is a decent player - probably tarnished by how poor we've been last few seasons

I'm a fan of his - mentioned before but whenever I bring mates to the game, they nearly always pick him out as one of our best players

Think Sheff Weds now have 2 Yorkshire derbies away up next. Fulham last game as well. They are really up against it

Fantastic result

Certainly can't doubt the heart of this team. That Popa goal is the moment you dream of as one of those travelling fans - fair play to them

Sounds like AAH was heroic.

Ah Evans - knew someone was missing unexpectedly. Presuming he has a knock

About the team I'd have gone for, once McShane is ruled out. Still will be a big miss

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by do or die

A defeat certainly not terminal for our play off chances (have a feeling wolves may get something at Fulham as well) - but what a boost a win would be. Even a draw would be an excellent result considering we only have one game left against the top 8 after this

Re: If RFC don't make the play-offs....

I think you've 'romanticised' historical events in your own mind. He did fantastic in his 1st stint but 2nd stint was dire... Past evidence suggests that his strength is team building. He wasn't given a chance to build one and had to deal with Clarke's mess, a disinterested and demotivated bunch of...
