Re: Reading FC Womens World

Are the women full time? Would assume not and that their salaries from the club are pretty low. Would be happy to be corrected

I think they spent 31 million on two players - Neves and Costa

Not sure if that’s the same thing as being worth 31 million though

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Blokes on the Wolves forum criticising the town of Reading. I mean... they have been to Wolverhampton, right? I've been there a couple of times. Both times I felt a lingering sense that the apocalypse had just happened. oh FFS. Don't know why there is always the need to slate the place you are visi...

we'll certainly have to play well, but Cardiff, QPR and Sheff Utd have all beaten them this season

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Didn't see any advertising for it myself up until the day of the game. Don't think it got promoted in my kid's youth team set up either, which have a strong girls structure.

But in saying that it may have gone directly to the coaches of the girl's teams

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Hound, You, in a very short time have summed up the enigma that is Dangerous Dave ! he is a genuine lovely bloke, he will run all day and has a knack of ghosting into the box to score vital goals , usually with his head. However , it is what he does the rest of the game that became a problem, there...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Yeah that pretty much. Dadi has looked pretty good and scored a couple of important goals, but keeps getting injured

Edwards is exactly as expected - ticks over nicely and looks a useful squad player. Not sure I’d want to see him in the starting 11 long term but he’s done ok

Can’t say I can comment that much other than to see it’s very nice to see them doing well

There’s some strong youth girls teams around the area so good to see they have some excellent role models to aspire to

Re: Which of our players are genuinely premier league quality?

It wouldn't be a priority to replace the following imo, not sure if that means they are prem league quality exactly. As said difficult to make that judgement until they played there:

Mannone, Gunter, Obita, Moore, Ilori, Swift, Bacuna. Maybe Barrow, Kelly and Aluko.

Be pretty easy to locate any Wolves fans where they shouldn’t be by their ridiculous accent though

looks like from Stam's presser that Ilori is fit, as are Aluko and Mannone. Bodvarsson sounds possibly good enough for the bench.

Re: Rodgers wants Moore

sure he'd be a good signing for them tbh, and he might be attracted to playing in the Champs league every year.

5m would be nowhere near enough, and Glasgow is a long way to go with his young family. But wouldn't rule it out if they increase the bid

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Obvs How we line up depends on how fit the injured players are Would go for this I think: Mannone Bacuna McShane Moore Gunter Joey Edwards swift Barrow Yann Aluko Possibly switching Edwards for Richards and playing Bacuna CM Hopefully the likes of Ilori, Kelly, McCleary and Bodvarsson are fit enough...

Re: BFTG - Ramming the Rams

I've written some analysis of this game on my new blog (I know ). This first one is pretty entry level so don't expect Spielverlagerung levels of analysis but I hope it provides a new perspective on the game. (I know its really late but honestly I thought I'd already posted it. I'm clearly no...

Re: Reading v Wolves Prediction Thread

Looking forward to this game. Always good when they sell out the away end and we should fill most of our end

Depends so massively on scoring first. I think we will and will win 3(1)-1(0)

Barrow
Swift
Bodvarsson
