Re: BFTG -Bolton

Really is no point taking any notice of what a manager says about the game Yeah I’m sure you are right. I just find his particular brand of bullshit particularly irritating. And not playing with a striker. And playing utterly shite football. And for persisting in playing Roy Beerens. And despite ha...

Re: BFTG -Bolton

Really is no point taking any notice of what a manager says about the game They are nearly always covering their own arse, their players arses (who they have prob been bawling at 5 mins before) or just saying what the press want to hear What manager is actually interesting to listen to? And tbh, eve...

Re: Reading FC v Sheffield Wednesday Prediction Thread

God knows to be honest. Such a hard team to predict. But I'll go for us finally keeping a clean sheet and winning at home

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h) sponsored by a Saturday home win

they are pretty similar to us. Two underachieving teams, held back by some poor tactics and injuries. I'm just hoping we continue on the slow upturn we've shown recently I really hope they come here and really go for a win. They surely need to get wins themselves if they want to get in the play offs...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

Don’t mind people complaining, and happy to read what people who want a change of manager have to say

Of course people are a bit pissed off - I don’t disagree. It’s just people posting utter reactionary nonsense and making a thread unreadable that is the issue

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

How exactly did I wreck this thread? Are we as fans now allowed to criticize what is turning out to be an awful season, and it isn't over yet. Yep I'm Stam out because if we are not careful he could damage this club big time. All I hear above is Derby and Forest........what about the 9 losses where...

Re: BFTG -Bolton

I think you can generally tell if a team looks like relegation candidates Against the likes of Hull, Norwich and Boro, we looked like relegation candidates. Since then, we've looked pretty good and picked up points If we do win that game in hand, we would be 8 clear of relegation. Thats quite a gap ...

Re: BFTG -Bolton

Jon Dadi has just been out for a month with a calf strain. He is being managed back like Yann was. Considering Yann was out as well I’d rather bring Bod on as he was rather than having to hook him at half time No problem with him not starting considering this last night, but would hope he is fit eno...

Did I imagine Yann playing just about every game for us last year then?

Re: 9 games to the New Year

Presuming Bod didn't start as he has only just come back from an injury. Worst thing to do would be to do too much too soon and be out for another month I'm assuming Stam wouldn't make the mistake of playing 3 wingers up front again if Yann or Bod were fit to start. As for Hugill. Higher wages. Simp...

Re: 9 games to the New Year

Not sure how you can consider that a gentle run? Sunderland have a new manager and are bound to improve, Barnsley are a decent team, especially at home, Ipswich and Cardiff will probably beat us, as will Bristol City I'm afraid to say. I'd only bet on us to beat Burton and Birmingham from that list...

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

Yann's wasn't a recurrence of a hip injury according to Stam. Specifically said it wasn't related. I think Bod will start vs Wednesday, and if not then, probably Barnsley

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

Utterly awful dross. Almost lost to Bolton who did absolutely nothing at all for nearly all the game. Really looks like the club are having the season they should have had last season this season. Jaap is keeping his head above the water at the moment and while that may turn out to be sufficient to...

Re: 9 games to the New Year

Its certainly looks on paper a relatively gentle run. It depends on what sort of form each team is on at the time though tbf, most teams seem much the same quality wise Sadly I'm more confident of us getting points away at the moment. The home form really needs to pick up massively if we are going t...
