Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

How hands on was Herron out of interest?

Was presuming MarshAll manages the football side. Let’s hppe he can turn it round. Presuming we were a little under strength with the squad in Spain and Barrett out on loan

Re: Rival Watch

Forest isn’t a must-win. Nothing really is unless it’s black and white lose or you will go down

It is however absolutely massive. We will not get a better chance for 3 points again this season. A draw wouldn’t be terrible but we really should be looking to get the 3 points

If we beat Forest, they are every bit as much in the brown stuff as we are

Re: Rival Watch

WE HAVE TO CALIPITISE ON THIS AND BEAT OFREST ON SATURDAY!!! Only thing I’m slightly concerned about with the Spain trip is it looked lovely and warm and sunny there and it looks pretty bloody cold again here next week Not sure if warm to cold is ideal prep tbh, but loads of teams seem to thi...

Re: Rival Watch

Couldn’t really have gone any better

Added to the results, Forest had Lichaj sent off and Hull got smashed in the Fa cup

Good day all round

Re: Rival Watch

Hull getting a good spanking tonight

No effect on the league table obvs, but hoepfully take away a bit of the confidence from their Forest win

Re: The only course of action now...

Fosu, Stacey, Tanner, Barrett, and indeed Cooper would probably have performed at least as well as this shower of shite if they’d have been given a chance to establish themselves and we’d have been many millions better off. + tishbola. My millwall supporting m8 said we were utterly stupid to let Co...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Obvs just an oversight

The weird rule about it only being in the cup was prob the issue

That side we just put out against Arsenal in the 6-2 was very different to the CU side

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

What gets me is that the FA Youth Cup is the only competition with a lower age limit. Any other competion and he would have been OK to play. I accept it's a clear breach of the rules but there is a clear precedent with Southend and the club have been completely transparent. I think Shrewsbury got b...

Re: The only course of action now...

Agree - not really that bothered that we had Wieser and big Danzell sitting about last year as they were probably on relatively little

When it’s the likes of Popa, McCleary, Beerens, Ilori and Blackett warming the bench it’s a different matter

Re: The only course of action now...

It’s true Ian but I wonder how much the club are bothered. It still seems to be thought as the way to go - ie pay high wages.

There has been absolutely no effort to cut the wage bill on the face of it - in fact I suspect it’s gone up significantly this year

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

sounds a bit shitty, but a clear breach. Considering we were clearly so much better than CU as well.

Oh well, we'd prob been thrashed by Arsenal anyway. Shame though.

He has done a great job in Sweden.

How well it would translate over here would certainly be interesting. Sure he'll find out sooner rather than later

Re: Rival Watch

In double d's defence, judas bets are a no brainer. We stay up, he's happy and doesn't care that he's lost £50, or whatever. We go down, he's gutted, but at least he's made a few hundred quid to soften the blow. What's the issue? It's not like he'd be willing us to go down just to win the bet. It's...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

JLow just did a bit on GR. obviously not massively informative but an ok read

In summary Bond has done well (but will leave anyway) and Meite seems to have done pretty well after a slow start. Not much otherwise
