Re: Team for Bolton (h)

Purely from the small bits I’ve read of Bolton this year they’ll be looking for set pieces Be another reason to give Bod the nod. If you could put out Moore, Ilori, Blackett, Meyler, Bod, Meite and maybe Bacuna should really be able to handle corners etc. Thought we looked a little short against Der...

Re: Team for Bolton (h)

With all six of our senior wingers struggling with injuries or fitness, who would you pick to play Bolton and how would you line up? Popa is available but lacking fitness, Bacuna is struggling but should play, and Edwards and Obita are also out. There are also selection dilemmas in defence, midfiel...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Did think that, but wouldn’t be surprised if it was linked to our league position. Ie if we come bottom half he can leave for the 10m that was offered I don't think even RFC would be stupid enough to write a performance disincentive into a player's contract. ISnt that what happened with Marcus Madd...

Re: League Cup 2nd round draw

Went to the stadium for a non-football related event, stayed in the hotel in the stadium. Proper odd, the hotel is actually part of the stadium that each of the rooms open out onto a view of the pitch It’s not a bad set up or stadium. Just very middle class and corporate Can understand why away supp...

Surprised people wanted Oxford really. Horrible stadium in a horrible part of some hard to get to place that it isn’t even very close to Reading.

Re: League Cup 2nd round draw

Thought it was a reasonable draw. Could be far worse - Norwich away or something

Home tie always helpful. Not that bothered if we win but gives the chance for the fringe players to get a good competitive game in.

Yeah sorry about that Hound.

Liked the C5 highlights

Though barely ever watched them being as we were so desperate last year

And don’t think you can record red button. Possibly with the Q boxes - will give it a go

He looked good didn't he? Different sort of player to what I was expecting - has a great touch and decent passer. Had him down as just a poacher. That pass to Meite for the goal was obscenely good on what I think is his weaker foot

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by Notlob is Bolton backwards

Tough to pick a team for this. Do you go McNulty and Baldock again up front? Showed promise but against a poor side. And that means dropping Bod who has done ok in the first couple of games I don't think I'd want to see Kelly back in over Swift, or Bacuna tbh. Presumably Meyler will come back in. Wh...

Re: Hammond

I think that’s pretty harsh on BT tbh. He has got in some good players Meite, Moore, Barrow, Swift for example, and some solid ones as well Unfortunately the Aluko atrocity will forever cast a shadow, but we obvs don’t know who really pushed for that one Did see something along the lines of him tak...
