Re: BFTG - Wolves

I think Beerens is a useful player. I don’t ‘hate’ him or think he is useless but I just don’t think he is as good a player as Barrow, Aluko or Popa in the system we are trying to play He strikes me as a 4-4-2 wide midfielder/winger who would like two big men to aim for. He is probably the best cros...

Re: Relegation

The performances in the last three games tell me we'll be fine. We could've done without playing the league leaders after two great results to be honest, would've been nice to have had a middling club at home to keep the momentum going. True, but we have middling to poor clubs in our next 4 games I...

Re: Relegation

Next two away games against opponents with a combined home record of W2 D5 L10 should tell us if we are serious relegation candidates or not, anything less than 4 points would suggest maybe we are. With the squad we have we should vying for a play off place. Not worrying about relegation. I don’t t...

Re: BFTG - Wolves

Yeah, Bacuna was also outstanding at RB against Leeds and Forest Bacuna had a rare bad day - but his exquisite pass created our best chance (Barrow saved by Ruddy) and he did ok second half generally Just saying we don’t always know everything behind the scenes. Players may have a minor knock or hea...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

They’re unbeaten for a while but we really need to be beating teams like Bolton

Would go for the same team as you. If Bod isn’t fit for more than 15 mins would have Smith on the bench as well

Re: BFTG - Wolves

I think stam is planning very much for the fact we have a glut of games. I reckon Richards will be back in against Bolton, as will Edwards. I suspect Aluko wasn’t fully fit, and neither are Yann or Bod Like I said, no real issues with the team selection bar Beerens. Equally the sub of Edwards for Il...

Re: BFTG - Wolves

I don’t think Stam did too much wrong tbf Beerens I agree shouldn’t have played. But we’re not sure How fit Aluko and Bod actually are, and Yann has himself said he isn’t ready for 90 mins. Last thing we need at the moment is for Yann or Bod to do too much too soon 4 games in ten days...there are go...

Re: Relegation

Would you say based on recent form we look like a team that can’t score goals?

Not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but to me we look full of goals at the moment

Re: BFTG - Wolves

Yeah agree the lack of home clean sheets is a major issue I’ve got to be honest, think McShane is passed it. He takes too many unnecessary risks to win the ball and ends up quite often the wrong side of the attacker to simple balls over the top Interesting to see Stam haul off Ilori today for playin...

Re: Relegation

Just 5 points above the drop and Bolton and Sunderland away in the next 4. If we lose those and fail to win at home in our next 2 then il be very worried. I'm already pretty worried in that this side struggles to make chances and score goals Umm, we made loads of chances today and scored 7 in the t...

Re: BFTG - Wolves

I thought Swift did ok - didn’t get enough of the ball but used it well when he did

Was it me or were the Wolves fans a bit rubbish? They seemed very quiet compared to Villas for example and should have a lot more to sing about

Re: BFTG - Wolves

Yeah not sure what was up with Bacuna. Improved second half but had a shocker first

Beerens would be the one thing I’d criticise Stam for especially. He offered nothing and really should not be in the first 11. Barrow and Aluko + Bod or Yann offer far more

Re: BFTG - Wolves

Agree, was also an enjoyable game despite the score, which let’s face it is pretty impt Wolves looked a class above any team I’ve seen at the Madejski in the last couple of years. They should win the league by a mile Bar a couple of players, we did well. Things just didn’t quite drop for us. I’m not...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Just on the bus back Wolves look a very good side. Be amazed if they don’t win the title We were good I thought. More than matched them in everything but finishing Two poor bits of defending for their goals, but just one of those days it wasn’t meant to be Was a million miles from the dross we serve...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Ilori and Joey back in. Aluko Richards and Edwards drop out. Yann starts

Guessing Aluko isn’t quite 100%

Bod back on the bench which is great news imo.

Are the women full time? Would assume not and that their salaries from the club are pretty low. Would be happy to be corrected

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

I think they spent 31 million on two players - Neves and Costa

Not sure if that’s the same thing as being worth 31 million though

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Blokes on the Wolves forum criticising the town of Reading. I mean... they have been to Wolverhampton, right? I've been there a couple of times. Both times I felt a lingering sense that the apocalypse had just happened. oh FFS. Don't know why there is always the need to slate the place you are visi...
