Very ineffective as DOF at Swindon.

Which is about as nice a thing as you can say about him

Re: New Manager

Jokanovic right in as well

Still we know it’s not particularly reflective

Re: New Manager

Suppose a lot is to do with who we bring in

I’d happily wait a month if it meant Jokanovic coming in at the end of it

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a) sponsored by Dick Habbin

sounds like both Bod and Meite are 'possibles' for this game. Need one at least to be on the bench at a minimum imo

Re: New Manager

The Chronicle has Parky as favourite now that the Portugese chappy has turned us down, apparently the club have been in contact with him and as he's on a 12 mth rolling contract with Bolton he won't cost too much to get. the bit about the rolling contract is correct- wouldn't be expensive to get hi...

Re: New Manager

It took 2 days after Stan was sacked for us to appoint Clement. It's now been a week with no manager and the rumours are we still don't have a shortlist. Glad that we finally have a competent CEO in charge. Tbf, we’ve note really heard anything concrete other than from Castro who seemed to be first...

Re: New Manager

Tbf sure there are teams in a far better position than us who would be a more attractive proposition for Jokanovic

No doubts was given a hefty pay off as well, so no need to rush back.

Far from optimistic about this one after last weeks mess

Be delighted with a draw

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11673/11577893/vitor-pereira-on-readings-list-of-potential-successors-to-paul-clement Vitor Pereira being mooted. Re: New Manager

No, it certainly wouldn't be the most ambitious appointment

Personally think we should be going all out for Jokanovic but doesn't seem too likely

odds have Parky at evens currently

Re: New Manager

I think parky would do a decent, if not particularly inspiring job I’d back him to get a bit of spirit going and sort out the short term issues. Can’t see our mid term ambition being any higher than mid table with him in charge though It would be the most completely pointless sideways move since we...

Jokanovic is still winning my vote.

Esp if we have money to spend, it’s an absolute no brainier imo

I like what Ainsworth has done for WW, but it’s be a huge gamble and step up for him. If we went down maybe

Re: New Manager

Get your point but Bod and Eza could clearly have been stand out players for us. Bod has 7 goals whilst Eza provides something in midfield we clearly struggle with

Wouldn’t say we have been unlucky particularly with refs etc. Just lost two very key players

They are a half decent side who started the season asleep.

Re: New Manager

I'm still more than a bit surprised with PC's departure at that time. He very much did seem to be changing our playing style for the better, and doing a good job of bringing through the youngsters. Results weren't great, but it seemed to be me to be clearly a work in progress. He was hampered by som...

Re: New Manager

Imagine if Castro comes in, Ilori won't be going anywhere for a while Agree would happily sell the likes of Moore, Kelly, Swift, Barrow - pretty much anyone who could generate some cash. Though would like to keep hold of Meite, Loader, Rino. Obvs would happily bin off Aluko, Edwards, McShane, Popa, ...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

Sheffield United last season I believe. Yeah - checking back we had those two weirdly low attendances (also v Bolton), way below even the number of season tickets sold. I was at both. The weather was bitterly cold for the Sheff Utd game. We stopped at Reading Services to sort my windscreen out as i...

Re: New Manager

Suppose it’s also true that he feels he has achieved as much as he can in portugal. Going to struggle to break the Sporting/Benfica/Porto dominance Certainly be a big challenge at Reading and no doubts will be handsomely rewarded if he does well. Obvs no dream to manage or be in Reading, but the fac...
