Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

Again, I’d say Clement has picked the right team. Do like the fact he seems to be pretty clear and consistent with what he is trying to do

Re: Building for next season

Send Novakovic back out on loan to a Eredevision side Unless he signs a new deal before we let him go, he wouldn't return. Next season is last on his contract. Doubt if he doesn't get a chance here he'll sign again, which makes a loan less likely if we rate him but he isn't ready. Could be a stand ...

Re: Relegation Watch

I've had enough of the whole relegation thing now tbh. Given a bit of interest to the end of the season, but really want to put it all to bed with a win tomorrow. Hopefully we can do so

Re: Relegation Watch

It's a bit like choosing between losing your sight or your genitals. Seeing Colin's gurning face milking the applause on the pitch in Cardiff, or watching the cottagers (lol) in the neutral end gently applauding their fantastically talented team of future megastars returning to their "rightful...

Re: Relegation Watch

I like the idea of Millwall beating them in a play off semi. Even if it was just for make Leon happy Big match tonight. Rooting for Millwall, actually. Never thought I'd say that. likewise - though tempered by the fact Brum have to play Fulham on the last day. Would be nice if Fulham still have som...

Re: Relegation Watch

tbh, thoroughly bored of Fulham and their team of superstars. But then it is about as good a derby as we get nowadays

Actually have no real preference either way. Maybe just slightly prefer Cardiff as the thought of Fulham messing up the play offs again is quite a nice one

Re: South Stand Singers For Sunderland (H)

whether its a sad indictment or not, it seems to have worked to an extent. Players have noticed and liked it, and the people in the stand seem to be enjoying themselves. So no complaints from me

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Think Blackett was a midfielder in his youth career, so may well have a bit of knowledge in the position. It might work

Re: Building for next season

Agree Mendes is prob worth assessing. Suspect he would re-sign on relatively low money and be a useful backup.

Genuinely depends on whether he is capable of staying fit, of which there is little evidence. Maybe a 1 year deal.

Re: Building for next season

The club need to get this summer's transfers right. If we are as bad next season then we could definitely be less fortunate than we have been this season. We will be less fortunate for sure, seeing as the teams that come up and go down will be exponentially stronger then the 3 that go down to L1 (e...

Re: Building for next season

We certainly didn't look a particularly fit side under Stam - a lot of walking around. A lot of late goals conceded as well.

Re: Building for next season

Didnt we play the same team 5 times in a row or something during our only good spell of the season? Certainly speaks volumes for having a bit of consistency ould certainly hope the whole fitness side is looked at over the summer as well. Obita was just unlucky with his knee, but even before that the...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Agree, if you want to play Kelly and Swift you need a total destroyer in there. Which we don’t have And Joey, Evans and Edwards have all been useless this year in all honesty Not saying it’s a perfect combo, but it’s the best we have That's kinda my point. We don't have what we need to make it work...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Can’t see Joey or Edwards playing next season Swift/Bacuna/Kelly is prob our best combo but Bacuna’s stupidity has messed that up I’m not convinced Evans is any better than an ok fill in. He hasn’t really progressed and never seems to dominate a game Interesting to see Rinomhota was picked ahead of...

Good break down SCIAG, but we won’t sell Rinomhota or Smith I very much doubt

I quite like them both - i’d keep them for next year

Re: Building for next season

We actually looked quite a confident side right up to Christmas - even when we weren’t winning or creating a great deal. Even games like Hull and Boro at home where we got a disappointing result we had a bit of confidence in our play I think it was the Burton game where it really crumbled. We’ve loo...

Re: Building for next season

A different question, I suppose, is what would be people's expectations for next season in Champ? I asked this earlier this season, and was assured that given the stature of the club now, we should be comfortably Top 10 and challenging for promotion every season. Everyone still feel that way? It is...
