Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (a) sponsored by one swallow does not a summer make

Id be absolutely horrified if he dropped Ilori again after an away clean sheet

Think it'll be much the same side, if not exactly the same side. Barrow may start, but other than that, no reason to change

Will hopefully see Swift and Yann on the bench though

I'm still thinking about this one.

Re: RUMOUR - Jordan Hugill

weird one that. Esp with Preston so high up the table and him scoring goals

Id definitely like to see him here, but wondering if he's even starting to get above our level now

Did wonder that myself. Midweeks without any football are pretty dull, and the fixtures seem very spread out this month

Yann and Swift definitely out? I was hoping to see both on the bench tbh

edit: confirmed by Stam, Swift, Yann and McShane are in contention. Swift likely in the squad. Evans def out

Re: Thames Valley Whites (Leeds United Supporters Club)

likewise on Manchester, didn't do it for me either. And thats before mentioning the dismal weather Went up because heard great things about the nightclub Sankeys, and it was very average. Nottingham's been a good night out for me over the years. Know it isn't strictly northern, but probably been my ...

Re: Thames Valley Whites (Leeds United Supporters Club)

Sure that’s true, and of course it’s not all northern folk

Have had a number of experiences of people form up there who refused to talk to me because of my accent, inc someone who admitted to me as such but later became a good mate

Proper chip on the shoulder stuff

Re: Thames Valley Whites (Leeds United Supporters Club)

Don’t mind people defending where they live/come from tbh - much prefer that to people who think they are being clever by slating wherever they live In saying that, never ‘Got’ Leeds. Didn’t like it much at all. But like Sheffield and really like York All that guff about northerners being friendly i...

Re: In or Out?

I kind of agree Sanguine. But to be fair I don't think that was really the feel of most of the fans in the stadium. People on the net just tend to be more extreme with their opinions I certianly didn't want him sacked, but was starting to feel that would be the inevitable outcome if he didn't start ...

Re: Leeds v RFC Back from the Tele

Anyone hear Christiansen's bizarre post match comments about not criticising refs because that's how foreign managers lose their job? Not withstanding that Arsene Wenger is the longest serving manager in England and has made a career out of criticising officials, that's sounds like a manager strugg...

Re: Leeds v RFC Back from the Tele

His turn of pace for the goal was amazing. Exactly the kind of player we missed last year. Kind of player we’ve missed this year (when he was injured) even more He makes a massive difference to our attacking threat. Was really hoping Aluko would be another version of him and and they could terroris...

Re: Dutch possession based football R.I.P.

To an extent i think the talk about systems and such like is a little overblown anyway Its just a case of playing well sometimes. We've seen success over the last couple of years playing all sorts of styles - Leicester with their counter attack, Chelsea with their 3-4-3, Us and Hudders last year wit...
