Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Well Moore is a lot more ‘proven’ at this level, no matter how good Miazga has been. Also basically the club captain, and pots last year. We actually don’t know how good Miazga would be partnered with say McIntyre. They’ve been very much a partnership Yep. Moore is also turning into an inspirationa...

Re: Speculation - Players From The Relegated Trio

Ajayi at Rotherham was very good at our place. His pass percentage is w@nk though which might rule him out. If Miazga didn’t come, then maybe one to look at though Who was that kid at Bolton? The 17 year old - he was meant to be good Vaulks at Rotherham meant to be decent Not sure there is much else...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Prioritise the ones most likely to happen. If we sell Swift I think we could buy Baker. Sell Moore I think we could buy Miazga. Oliveira I think there is already a fee in place. Martinez - Won't come here in a million years, he is better than us by a country mile EjarIa - Got a feeling Liverpool wo...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Yep, pretty much. Surprised there's not been more clamor to sell Moore? There was last year. And for me, not too much has changed. Fairly sure Moore could be replaced for less. He had a release-clause built in to his new deal, right? . Still not sure how I feel about that, tbh. Generally speaking, ...

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

Broadly agree. He needs to get stronger - which I’m sure he will. He is too passive and too easily knocked off the ball at the moment. No doubts due to being only 18

I’d consider a season in say the Dutch league - less physical, about the right standard. Agree a loan to L1 or L2 could be disastrous

Re: Next Season's Squad.

yep, not heard too much on Obita other than he is aiming to be fit for pre-season. Another delay and you'd fear for him even more than already

Blackett's certainly a useful player to have knocking about. Even if he is ooc, he may well get another one. Reckon Gunter will stay for his final year.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I'm not writing him off. But asking the question how many Fbs you want to carry. Being as Howe has just been given a contract they obvs see a future for him. It might be that he gets loaned next year, but I suspect not. Reckon he'll be the cover and Watson will be moved on. They'll likely give him p...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by Jordan Holsgrove's dad

They sound in a bit of a state to be honest. Very unhappy with Pulis and how the season has gone

3 shots on goal in the entire match against Forest (who slightly bizarrely were rumoured to be sacking O’Neill if they lost) speaks volumes

Re: Next Season.

Been dropped by Wimbledon. Time to move on I think id like to know the ins and out before writing him off. was he loaned as cover, and being overlooked now in favour of a Wimbledon player they would prefer to give time to etc fair enough. He hasn't played for us for 2.5 years now though, with the i...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

maybe, though I think Kelly has been massively shown up by Rino, Baker and Ejaria. The difference in midfield has been massive since they came in. Its a very long road back in for him Its probably also the easiest position to recruit a prem loanee for - technically good midfielders are pretty much t...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

yes maybe missed Gunter (I wasn't taking notes :) )

But it was certainly only a smallish percentage. Maybe it was made more obvious by seeing Martinez and Moore making the big effort to come over to the ED

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Really impressed with 1871 over the last couple of games. Its made a huge difference Not going to be joining in anytime soon mind you, more than happy sitting with my kids in the ED. The atmosphere in there has been pretty good recently, and those clapper things do the job. Thoroughly enjoyable on ...

and they managed 3 shots on goal (1 on target) in their last game Still we do need to be professional. Looking at the table, they could do with a GD boost actually as they are 5 behind Derby, but on the same points. So despite what I said, a 4 or 5-0 win, however unlikely, would actually do them an ...

Re: Medium/long term prospects

undoubtedly a lot more optimistic than after the escape last year. If the club can recruit 2-3 of those loanees, shift a stack of deadwood and get the finances in a lot better shape, I feel theres a lot to look forward to. The training ground will be a big step up, and will certainly help retain qua...
