Why you not a fan then?

Ahhh, the primary school "I know you are but what am I? " routine. Cutting edge wit.

Re: World Cup Punditry

Lawrensen and Phil Neville are an utter abomination. Neville in particular talks so much bollocks and seems incapable of saying anything that isn't in a one note forced tone of faked excitement. I hate him now more than I hated him for ruining us against Romania the stupid pcunty pcunt. Evra, Bilic ...

Re: Ingerlund Vs Tunisia

Very good start with terrible finishing. Lacklustre but persistent display with occasional quality. Awful officiating mostly against England. Hampered by Alli getting a knock and Lingard and Sterling both poncing about the pitch trying too hard and having no end product. Quite slow through midfield ...

Re: Ingerlund Vs Tunisia

I'd just like a couple of decent performances and competitive in a knockout game. Qers would be good. Semis electric.

Depending on the XI it genuinely feels like the squad has the attitude to perform with zero expectation of actual success.

Re: Ingerlund Vs Tunisia

After all the drama of the past few days, and the apparent difficulty that the 'big' teams are having at putting away the minnows, I think you'd have to be delighted to come away from this evening with an underwhelming 1-0 win. Agreed. Even before the last few results we needed to be realistic abou...

Re: Tommy Elphick

He had some injury problems and jumped at fame and fortune too soon.

If he was fully fit and showing good attitude I'd have him in over Evans, Berg or Edwards, maybe Kelly or good old hammy-Swift too.

No wonder refs get so much shit if so many people watch the same clips yet see completely different things!

Re: World Cup 2018

Clear push in the back for Swiss equaliser Why no VAR? VAR and ref obviously don't think it was had enough to be a proper foul I've got sympathy with that view, if you blew up for everything like that at a set piece, they'd all end in either a penalty or a free kick to the defending side. It was pr...

RUMOUR: Barrie McKay

https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2796498/rangers-barrie-mckay-olympiacos-move-doubt/ We're apparently interested in ex-Rangers winger Barrie McKay, trying to hijack his move from Forest to Olympiacos. A Killie supporting pal says he's an excellent winger who can play left, right or u...

Re: World Cup 2018

I mean, yeah, if you want to look at a still it's ambiguous, but the video couldn't be clearer that he's caught and impeded. the video, from that angle, doesn't show where the contact started. This isn't a conclusion make by looking at that still. That's just the only replay I could find (I made th...

Patrice Evra is great value in the studio, comes across as smart, witty and interesting. Almost makes ITV tolerable.

Re: World Cup 2018

Having checked they do talk about contact on the player, but it's not required. There is literally no mention of getting the ball first preventing something being a foul. Not that I could find under law 12 anyway.

Re: World Cup 2018

* weirdly for the France VAR decision, they also kept showing the side view, which was also the worst angle to see if the defender got the ball or not. Yeah i noticed that, the angles they were showing you in the VAR were the worst ones for judging the incident The Peru player absolutely played for...

I think he was going down before the contact, and stretched leg out as he fell to get that contact. On the drag back and turn? You're having a laugh! To me this looked like where the first contact was made. http://i65.tinypic.com/149zkn.jpg IF that's the case, he's looking for the contact. It...

Re: Season 2018/2019

Interesting view, thanks. I don't feel particularly threatened by any of the relegated teams this year and would expect at least one to be in bottom half danger. There really don't seem to be many obvious relegation candidates with the likes of Millwall and Brizzle doing quite well and the likes of ...

Re: World Cup 2018

Sure this has been covered before, but how far can you go back with VAR? Say someone's offside, but it's not given, goes out for a corner, then they score from the resulting corner. Can you go back to the initial offside? Or would it get picked up before the corner's taken? If play stops you can't ...
