Re: The League of 4

The Clement concentration factor must be big. And certainly can't be fatigue as we conceded so many goals within 10 minutes of the restart.

Certainly not bad thinking. I just don't really rate him.

Re: Rumour - Reece Brown

The point?

I get it BT. It's the very absence of consideration or mention of that when the exact same thing has happened in both scenarios.

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

he won't want to come back, and I'm pretty sure he won't be seen in a Reading shirt again May well be another loan to a SPL club - maybe Hibs again. Not sure they have £1m+ to spend on him My Hib supporting colleague says outside Celtic and maybe Rangers there's no money in Scotland so there's feck...

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

cutting ties is getting rid DD, not going out on loan Is that guy DD? These constantly changing usernames are killing me. Yep. Came back, gave the old "I've changed" Spiel and now slowly turning back into the usual routine. Yep. I'd like to cut ties with DD and John Smith both rather than...

Re: Rival Watch

Norwich always seem to have nice kits so they are more appealing on the eye for me. Of all the reasons to support a team, that's very low down on my list. But each to their own. Having a sustained a prolonged and probably irrational loathing of Colin over many years, any club who has ever employed ...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

I almost want to see Leeds go up for two reasons. 1 gets the pcunts out of our hair for a season 2 It would be great if they celebrated getting back to the big time and then immediately finished 20th and got relegated again. Especially if they spent loads doing it went back into admin and got relega...

Re: Next Season.

Been dropped by Wimbledon. Time to move on I think id like to know the ins and out before writing him off. was he loaned as cover, and being overlooked now in favour of a Wimbledon player they would prefer to give time to etc Just been talking to a Womble who says he wasn't dropped, but was recalled.

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

Broadly agree. He needs to get stronger - which I’m sure he will. He is too passive and too easily knocked off the ball at the moment. No doubts due to being only 18 I’d consider a season in say the Dutch league - less physical, about the right standard. Agree a loan to L1 or L2 could be disastrous...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Good point on the end they are at when the whistle goes making a difference.

I think a lot tend to do a mini round in the centre circle clapping each stand rather than actually go over too.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Really impressed with 1871 over the last couple of games. Its made a huge difference Not going to be joining in anytime soon mind you, more than happy sitting with my kids in the ED. The atmosphere in there has been pretty good recently, and those clapper things do the job. Thoroughly enjoyable on ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Yeah, it is weird. Some people obviously enjoy the atmosphere but expect others to do all the work to make it. Against Brentford I was stood next to a middle-aged woman who'd come with (I presume) her 20s son. She was regularly joining in and stood all game. That was great to see as it's not really...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

CountryRoyal I think we all agreed that loan players were a good way to go to see out this season as considering the uncertainty over our future league status. It will be interesting to see what avenue we go down in the summer.

Absolutely.

Re: The League of 4

I hope the management also sees the benefit of finishing the season on a high to take into the next one rather than achieving safety and then ending with a damp squib. Last season's 0-4 And the players sulking in the dressing room rather than doing the traditional lap of appreciation (until it becam...

Re: End of season contracts

I know someone else said it Nameless. I'm paying attention. You're the one who raised O'Shea as a better option than McShane while directly quoting me to have a pop yet again.

You've been consistently jumping on anything I say and misrepresenting it for a day or two now.

It's getting proper weird.

Re: End of season contracts

How do you know O’Shea is not a good coach ? Ex players do sometimes make good coaches. He has done his coaching badges so is possibly a bit more than some who might fancy learning to be a coach. You’d think 20 years as a pro, 100 international caps, multiple medals might just give him a few things...

Re: End of season contracts

Isn’t O’Shea the ideal one for the O’Shea role ? When he came it was said it would be a one year playing deal then a move into coaching. If you have acentre back with 100 plus caps On the staff do you need another old pro hanging around as well ? If we want someone with character to mentor young pl...
