Re: MATCHWATCH : Ipswich Town (a) sponsored by a Steve Richardson goal

Blackett getting lots of blame on Radio EDIT: although Tim doesn't agree and thinks he's just a scapegoat I'm a bit conflicted on Blackett. I thought he started the season quite well, but he is often rather casual and completely fell apart as a player. Him returning to form would allow us to go bac...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Yeh I hope he is asked about that after the game Watch the replay on Sky and see how many interceptions/blocks/defensive headers Kermie makes after he is switched. You can't really argue it was a successful ploy We gave away a two goal lead, or one goal when that change was made Last year it seemed...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

While it is the Players who are ultimately responsible for last nights fiasco;Stam made a critical error last night in not making a substuition at least 15 minutes before their 1st goal. Instead of which he just sat on his hands. While I felt absolutely gutted walking back to the car-it was an exci...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

We came out the blocks last night with a real urgency to get up the pitch quicker. Kermie up top with Barrow and Aluko busting a gut to catch up with the knock downs. It is a shame Kelly couldn't quite get his foot on to the second balls though, a bit more grit and aggression and we would have had ...

I was at Wembley for the Simod Cup too, but it's been all downhill since.

Quite a lot I imagine. I have. Missed the Simod though.

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I'm guessing whoever gave Bacuna mom prob hasn't seen a lot of him. He still had good moments, but it wasn't one of his better displays for us. Agreed - he has a slightly worrying tendancy to switch off momentarily in games or get frustrated momentarily during otherwise decent performances. Agreed ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

I think we got a bit of the curse of the 2-0, where we didn't quite commit fully to defending it or going for 3.

There are very few teams in this division capable of rescuing a draw from us at 2-0, now we're playing more to our potential.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Did I miss something, who defends a single goal lead by putting a striker on? For one of the best centre backs of the past 25 years, Stam can't organise a defence for sh*t. Wasn’t a bad move. Put kerm in midfield and fresh legs up front. Just putting on defenders invites pressure. Just didn’t clear...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I’m a Stam fan, but his second half tactics cost us that win. The players looks confused, disorganised and out of position. At times they were screaming at each other and didn’t know who they were marking, and we completely lost the wide threat when it looked like we moved barrow more centrally up ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Should have won that. Edwards and McShane with chances at the death. Got a bit cocky with the lead.

Still. Point against 2nd. That's more than decent.

From the little I saw, and clips, we're playing them because we're beating the press with quality short passing. And because the attackers are making good runs.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Love the analysis from Bellamy and Rosenior. Show a clip of Cardiff's front 5 pressing us high, us beating it and then having a free run at their deep defence. Analysis: Defence needs to step up too. Next clip, Cardiff doing exactly that and Reading playing a ball over the top for Barrow to almost g...

Re: Injury watch 2017-18 season

He has 7 months left on his contract, can’t help but think Stam will have to give him the chance to prove himself. You'd imagine, if there's no chance of going up, once we're safely clear of relegation, he'd get that chance in league games? Assuming he's done fine in U23 games up to that point. Wel...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Well this seems good. Lost track of time so only saw the last 10 minutes ish of the half, just enough to catch the second goal. Heard commentators saying not seen any sideways passing from Reading. Yeah, it's because they're on a good run, so they're playing with confidence and intensity. Which mean...

Yep, Wednesday fans are probably chirping-off the same as we were a few weeks ago......Nigel missed a trick there, good start for him at Hull today. Always thought that he was “hard done by” by the HNA massive running their mouths....and the clubs actual situation at that time of his tenure. There'...

Struggle Pig is probably as close to amusing as we could get. Most footballer nicknames definitely can't be described as witty or amusing.

I seem to recall strap finding Bodgers and Bambi on Ice funny. Not sure why.
