Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Dave Kitson

Hound You do look at Stoke’s team and wonder how they are so low in the table

Would take a point happily tbh, don’t care what form they’ve been on

With the exception of Feds, their bench would get straight in to our 1st XI without a blink of an eye

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Leeds have been good, but getting a bit bored of the commentators gushing over every little thing they do, and the disappointment in their voices when something doesn't come off. Hopefully they'll embarrass themselves next season like media darlings Fulham did. My favourite part was when one of the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

That's right lads you can't say anything negative about the team because JR says so. Don't dare tell the truth about how utterly spineless we have been because it will hurt JR's feelings. Well that’s a massively mature and constructive response. If you want I’ll tell you how lightweight and useless...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Snowflake Royal Swift plays like he's in a school playground showing off against 10 year olds, not against a quality physical side.

Agreed, his demeanour and even his physical look is just laxidasical

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

I assume they're all minus scores, and rightfully so. This is the sort of comment that makes me really angry. We are playing a team likely to get promoted who have shown very clinical finishing. We are massively under strength and battling relegation. The first 10-13 minutes we dominated and looked...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Half time ratings Martinez - 5 Yiadom- 5 Moore - 3 Miazga - 4 Blackett - 4 Baker -5 East- 5 Meite - 4 Swift - 2 Barrow - 2 Loader - 2 Swift, Barrow and Loader are so so so poor it's unreal As for Moore, I'm so sick of watching him, he's one of the worst passers of the ball I've ever seen East grew ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

LOL at me saying this, but Gunter has been fine this season IMO and is better than McShane. Hear, hear Ian. Reading’s best player since Jimmy left. A game without Gunter marauding down the right is a sad game. Haven’t seen any attacking influence from our other right backs. You need to stay off the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

As you would expect it is chokka (spelling?) in the Greyfriar this evening with a strong Leeds following.

Glad we have Club 1871 or I wouldn’t have been able to get to the bar with 100% more!!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

much as I'd absolutely hate to see him play normally, I think McShane is a better option than Gunter. Gunter has been useless this year and little better than McShane. And would mean playing someone out of position. Just hope Moore is either fit or back very soon. A starting line up with McShane an...

Re: Financial Fair Play

THE player / coach numbers are presumably the total number who worked for the club at some point during the year. We didn’t necessarily have that number at the same time. So if you change managers during the period and say 5 people leave and 5 new ones join then that is 10 employed during the year....

Re: Financial Fair Play

The audit opinion has an emphasis of matter in respect of going concern - which is highlighting that a material uncertainty exists in respect of the ability for the club to continue to operate in the foreseeable future. This is due to the reliance on ongoing support from the Chinese owners - there i...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Reading are the latest club to report their 2017/18 results with losses of ‘just’ £746,000 in 2017/18. An unusual grant receipt of £10m and flogging off some assets then helped reduce these losses to just £21m compared with a profit of £4.7m the previous year. Turnover decreased by £18.8m from £36....

Re: BFTG Rotherham

You omly have to look at the bench today to see negativity on selection 4 of them were defensive, Gunter, O shea, Mc Shane plus keeper. This was a game we had to Win not defend Possibly the most ridiculous post ever. On the bench we had: GK Right back Centre back Centre back (who has played midfiel...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

They had 2 shots on target. 2 reasonable chances other than the goal at a push. How is that dominating? First half they could have had 2 and all second half we barely touched the ball. When they scored was it a surprise? No. Dominated. Rubbish. A load of long throws does not equal domination. O'She...

The opposition are always incredibly poor and every ref is useless apparently.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by all or nothing

yet another totally unacceptable result against a garbage team that deserved nothing and somehow got a point. Not getting the Jose love-in, we now have almost an entire new team and we still can't win. Why the assumption that anyone that turns up at the Mad Stad deserves nothing? I thought Rotherha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by all or nothing

Fair result - if anything the Millers the better side.

My biggest gripe of the day is two old guys on the way our wearing Reading shirts talking about Parky and asking was he a goalkeeper. I felt compelled to correct them and there was no contrition from them for their ignorance.

For all the detractors of faffing around with the ball at the back, that goal was founded on that principle!

Re: Ex Players

Jake Cooper and Alex Pearce in to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

On paper not the most elegant pairing, but must add danger at offensive corners!
