Re: MATCHWATCH : Ipswich Town (h) sponsored by Orlando Sa

 Meite overhead kick  Meite reminds of a young Thierry Henry. When he first came to Arsenal he was a bit clumsy and lost, played out on the wing, but in his third season he really blossomed as a striker, found an eye for goal and the rest is history. We’ll sell him in 2 years for £30m +

Disagree with many on here - thought that was best we’ve looked for a while.

Enjoyable to watch going forward with a few moments that didn’t quite go our way.

Frailties at the back costing us points.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a) sponsored by Nigel Adkins last game

Don't suppose anyone has a stream. Nothing on Reddit or Twitter Sorry if not relevant, but on Sky sports if you’ve got it, or have access to the app. Only on a laptop, not through the TV or on a phone so I think that rules me out unless mistaken? If you can get it in on a laptop, then would assume ...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Assume it will be Meite, Barrow +1 up front on Sat Anyway, didn’t think it was quite as bad as some, but an ugly display with little quality. QPR goal was inevitable Walker 7 - was pretty good. Not sure on the goal Gunter 6 - did ok and got forward. Lack of quality when he did cross Yiadom 6- massi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (h) sponsored by a distinct lack of Saturday home wins

It really can't be overstressed how bad Hull were. Unfortunately, that means you can't really judge what today means for us in further games. Ezatolahi could show anything against an actual Champ side. Promising signs but needs to improve his stamina and cut out some errors. Likewise, hard to say i...

It’s about time we had a team selection thread! This forum has been taken over by prediction threads that are pointless / depressing so this is a breath of fresh air!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (a) sponsored by hoping it's 1959/1960 all over again

Really hoping he does not pick McShane, he really does not deserve a starting place or even a place on the bus. He's one of my least favorite Reading players of all time I can't believe he's lasted as long as he has and when did he ever deserve the captain's armband? I am confused Clement is a bold...

This is a fascinating article - always wondered why it didn’t work out that Rodgers season when he started so well.

Re: League Cup 2nd round draw

Thought it was a reasonable draw. Could be far worse - Norwich away or something Home tie always helpful. Not that bothered if we win but gives the chance for the fringe players to get a good competitive game in. Why wouldn’t you want to win this game? Surely the opportunity of an unexpected run to...

Re: Card/cash only

Right well the point remains that you can pay by cash if you like but to not have the option to pay by card at all is just backwards. Also on the subject of slow service, why does the Heineken bar outside take so fcuking long, all the fcuking time? At least 90% of the stuff they sell is one fcuking...

Re: The Positive Thread - Only Positivity Allowed

Hallelujah - agree with many of the positive points mentioned already. I have the cautious optimism from a steady, but focussed close season effort from Clement. I am sure the majority of Mad Stad regulars will be excited and a bit optimistic for the season - it’s only natural, regardless of the rea...

I would be very happy with this.

Scored against us for a myriad of teams and I’ve never seen him have a bad game.

Who is in charge of writing the Besiktas match article :o Not only did they think we were playing at Besiktas (actually was Graz) but they talked about our draw with Austrian (!) side Besiktas. Must be a work experience student!! Also might have been worth mentioning that Besiktas are a Champions Le...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19

I don't get this trend of thought that 'there should be a discount after last season'. +1, if we had gone down, then, yes a discount would've been needed. But we didn't so happy to pay the same/+£25 extra this year. It is still really good value. Unless you were calling for price increases when we’...

Re: Back from the ****

First half was a very ordinary half between teo ordinary teams. We were excellent after half time, although our finishing let us down. We should have been 3-0 up and would have fully deserved that. Their goalkeeper deserves serious credit for that incredible save to deny Swift. After Ipswich scored...

Fingers crossed for results going our way next week. Fingers crossed the results go against us, then we can be deservedly relegated and we can get rid of this shower of gutless sh*te and rebuild and start all over again. Anyone who requests relegation is a disgrace - take a look at yourself Gunny

Re: MATCHWATCH : Ipswich Town (h) sponsored by just do it!

Just got off at Goring & Streatley and walked past Nigel Howe waiting for a train to Reading / Paddington.

Surreal - how times have changed! He would have been boozing it up with opposing board members if this was any of the past 15 seasons.
