Re: Summer Transfers

I see the squad potential this season as an unknown quantity. It all went tits up very quickly last season and we never really got any momentum or clicked as team. This season if Clement gets it right, inherited a squad which tbh I thought would compete for play offs and he's added some grit, whils...

Re: Sam Baldock

To me signing Baldock would indeed appear consistent with a change in tactical approach to allow two up front, which according to whoscored.com, only happened six times last season (4 x 352, 2 x 422). A potential change in shape may be required to increase our attacking output – only Burton (8.8 ) ...

Re: Sam Baldock

a strike force of bod, baldock, mcnulty +1 yoof is streets ahead of where we were last year imo, and for that I'm pretty happy. adding an experienced half decent championship striker and a confident and hungry player who has done well in the league below us is good business. Well quite I find it qu...

Re: Sam Baldock

This is just a meh signing. As others have said, its a player who plays the role we are after. Many factors come into effect here. Price, wages, willing to come here and goals scored. He may come good but probably wont set the league alight. I think this league is his level and he will score goals -...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

I enjoy the online meltdowns people have tbh. Its the problem with having no filter and zero accountability with your comments.
Some of the best comments are from posts which are clearly tongue in cheek and the spazzo's come out in force.

They are laughable. Just waiting to hear from Courtney Friday's Greek source.

Maybe he spelt it wrong and we got a unexpected bid in for Tzatziki

Courtney Friday professing to know Danny Loader is on "big wages". which is exactly the kind of comment that makes everyone hate him Well i assume he is on big wages compared to me. Or it could be seen as a dig that Danny earns more than him (wouldn't put it past him) Unless he is our big...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

He just seems so desperate, has no opinion on it himself so asks twitter what they think and then writes up a half arsed piece about it. Its all we can expect from a local journo though. No it isn't. Charles Watts put the effort in to build relationships at the club and was trusted. Players gave hi...

Re: Greyhound parking

Oh great.....I dont understand how we cannot secure a long term option for a car park. Bus travel is not easy and convenient. I agree on the way to the stadium does actually work because there is a stagger of people arriving. But after the game, as there is absolutely nothing to do after the game ex...

Re: CONFIRMED: Novakovich to stay on loan nxt season, this time at Fotuna Sittard

Good luck to him. Playing regularly at a higher level will do no harm what so ever. Hopefully we can get another youngster out to gain the needed experience.
Surely this a sign that we will actually bring in a new experienced striker?

Re: Gourlay

seems sensible enough to me. I've a feeling REP is never going to happen. I don't think the new owners want it, at least not in its current form. Really hope the train station goes ahead, would be a massive plus. Think owners would like it to happen, but all the red tape that surrounds this stuff w...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

After mulling over this transfer, I am starting see some sense in this. There were time last season when we could of done with him on the pitch. I think his experience in dressing rooms at HT or before the game could be vital. I am sure he is not afraid to shout and give a bollocking to players who ...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

Brighton have had a £8m bid for Aston Villa defender James Chester rejected. This implies that they cannot reach an agreement with Reading on a fee for Liam Moore, and are looking elsewhere. Maybe he will be staying at RFC. If it isn't Brighton it will be someone else. Moore is reasonably affordabl...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

Isn't it time to tell him it is probably because he is such a c*nt and all the players hate him? its not just the players tbf He was trying to crawl up Gunter's backside earlier too. Bloke is a complete weasel. Some of his pieces he writes on twitter is so cringe worthy and can see why no one at th...

Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

I'd like to think O'Shea is a lot more professional than to just turn up and take wage. I haven't heard or read that he has any attitude problems. Would hope he can come here and give us some options and flexibility at the back when we undoubtedly get injuries next season. Squad wise we should have ...

Re: RUMOUR- John O’shea set to sign for Reading

If this goes through, it would be a massive leap of faith by the management. A very meh signing IMO. But usually these sort of signings turn out not to be complete disasters though. Paves the way for youngsters to be loaned out though.

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

I think he would be weighing up his options of being in a struggling team in the PL not getting game time to being in a team potentially struggling in the champ but playing every game. I am not sure he wants to go, however if the right offer comes in from a prem team and we accept I think his mind w...
