Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I want to hear from the organisers from last year on what they think the high points and low points have been, and their honest opinion on it, What do they think has gone well or badly? Do they think they should carry or on not? What would they do differently? Where are they and who even are they? ...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Incredibly random but is Courtney serving the longest notice period known to man or is he now sticking to his job at the Chronicle? From memory he was supposed to have left in July? He has officially left but uses his press accreditation to get in the ground for free, he is a crook really. He tries...

Re: BFTG Millwall Home

It was a pen but I have definitely seen them not given. It really wound the Millwall supporters up too which was a lovely sight to see. TBF it didn't take much to rattLOLe them Never does They were relatively happy until the penalty. Their anger really increased when the big litre bottle of Lucozad...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

From memory I don't recall that many teams filling the entire South Stand - maybe more like 6 o 7? The below article suggests that only 6 clubs have an average attendance more than 2,000. https://talksport.com/football/efl/420975/every-championship-club-average-away-support/ Then you've got to remo...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

did see one of the points in JLow's 'things you might have missed' was that Garath McCleary played on Saturday. I feel sorry for him because he is a man doing a job and trying to do it well. I really don't want to criticise him because I couldn't do his job. But then I also see it's clear he's just...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Many teams have got very near for the first 2, it will not be soon (hopefully this season) before one of them falls. I REALLY REALLY REALLY would love to see Hearts, OR EVEN BETTER Rangers win it this year in ScotLOLand. Problem with PSG is that until they win the CL they will just buy every player...

Courtney Friday suggesting that a suspect in car crash involving a stolen car is John Swift. anything further on this? Nothing other than pelters from a few supporters and Friday saying he was obviously joking. Seems like a silly move to even joke about things like that though. He is the first to b...

I had no idea that fixture was played in the French league........ It is just an example of the capability of a team other than PSG. Has anything happened to stop the dominance of Bayern Munich,Juventus or Celtic? Many teams have got very near for the first 2, it will not be soon (hopefully this se...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

There's no decision to make, it was made months ago. The club has sold season tickets there. They're committed for the season. Personally I think that’s a mistake. I would have thought the club should have been more flexible and suggested a three month trial at the start of this season with a view ...

Bayern won 3-1 at Wolfsburg at the weekend despite Arjen Robben being sent off midway through the second half. Re: Tim Dellor

In most other areas of the country the local radio football presenters are close to their clubs and are usually up-to-date on injuries etc. ahead of a game. Whether it is the fault of the club or the fault of BBCRB presenters I don't know but yesterday they were behaving like us uninformed fans in ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (h) sponsored by Terry Hurlock

Thought Jaakkola did more to earn the no 1 shirt than either of the other two so far this season. Personally don’t think he’s a bad keeper, he’s a good shot stopper and also we know can save a penalty or three. Think his distribution needs work but generally I don’t think he’s any worse that Mannon...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Some basic rushed numbers that are probably completely wrong because it's Monday morning, but whatever 2,175 (half the south stand capacity) x £20 we charge for away tickets = £43,500 per game x 23 home games = £1,000,500 lost over the course of the season IF every away team sell out the South Stan...

Bracknell suffered their first defeat in the league losing 3-2 away at Uxbridge which was a bit of a surprise. Believe Bracknell were 3-0 down at one point.
