Re: Danny Williams - Huddersfield

I'm a bit surprised that people are taking this so badly, I think half a dozen good performances in the last month of last season are clouding people's judgement. By and large he has been a bit absent throughout his time at Reading - either through injury or by being a bit of a headless chicken. He'...

You've moved the goal posts there.

Late would imply it's not available at the first game of the season.

Re: Does Reading FC do enough in/around town

Ok, well.... Lamp posts - A council decision I'm sure, and I'm struggling to see what benefit this would do. Most people would probably see it as a Tory promotion Pubs/newsagents - the club do have relationships with independent pubs in the town, but this wouldn't get signed off on chain pubs Radio ...

Re: Do you have another team?

Only one team that I genuinely support, i.e. one team that I am truly emotionally invested in.

I do have a few teams that whose results I look up though:

Rochdale
Stevenage
Basingstoke
Maidenhead

Re: Does Reading FC do enough in/around town

It's all very well sitting at a keyboard commenting that more should be done, but do any of you have any idea as to how much town centre advertising costs? As someone who works in that industry, it is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps if they raised the season ticket prices by £10...

Re: Does Reading FC do enough in/around town

Just make sure the adverts aren't done by whoever is in charge of the twitter feed. Two official tweets today start " 'That Moment When' last summer asked you to stick by us for the moments of magic. " What is that even supposed to mean? It reads like one of those Japanese random English ...

Re: Who do we want, then?

Sheffield Wednesday for me.

To me, Carvahal is an absolute fraudster who is doing his level best to continually fail with a squad that boasts an embarrassment of riches. Given the way Stam did an absolute number on Jokanovic, I would fancy him to do the same against poor Carlos.

Why it was announced during the second half, I don't know.

However, I have it on good authority that it's been completed for a few weeks.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Fair point. Very much like his sister in the respect really, all fancy flicks and touches but lacking in any consistent end product. Women's football is actually kind of like Fulham. Media does their best to hype them, but in reality they're just a bit shit. That comment says more about you than it...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Their arrogance is inherent throughout the club it seems. I saw their advert for season tickets on their LED boards, and it came out with some nauseating drivel about being 'the originals' and 'the entertainers'. Absolute state

Do I have my RTGs on, or has the reaction from the media and Fulham fans been completely unjustified? Anyone would think that they're England '66 and we're Argentina '66.

Re: BFTG Fulham

The Swift yellow was a ludicrous decision in my opinion, absolutely no common sense shown by the ref. He also bottled giving their player a yellow at the end when they pulled Yann back. Seeing the red card live, I first thought the player was going down before contact and the reason that McShan went...

Re: BFTG Fulham

A cagey match, which perhaps was to be expected in hindsight. Truth is, both teams will be confident of winning on Tuesday, which sets it all up beautifully. We could arguably be a bit disappointed to not have taken the win given we were ahead and it was a bit of a foul up for their goal. That said,...
