Re: BFTG - Bolton

Good to see the usual level of patience and perspective from the Reading fans on here :D  I'm a pessimistic fan, always have been. I thought that our squad was poor before the summer dealings and not a lot better afterwards. So I wasn't expecting much from this season to begin with. Clement h...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Baiting is 90% of football atmosphere. They should be doing more. Just stood in y26 without the holier/louder than thou mentality. Retrospective baiting of course. However at that point in the game, we hadn’t heard the a peep out of the Bolton fans and the RFC fans in the South Stand actually sound...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

The South Standers were in good voice at the start of the game, but I was disappointed to hear some of the petty and irrelevant baiting of the Bolton fans around the half hour mark. It was completely pointless at that point and only succeeded in making the largely silent away fans start singing - is...

Not Tevreden, he has been stitched up as much as the rest of us.

Re: Hammond

I know this is a discussion on Hammond, but given there is talk about BT I thought I would weigh in on that topic. In BT’s first full season as DoF (or equivalent) he was managed by the very experienced Howe, who allowed him to get on with his job. During this season we unearthed some gems and ende...

Re: Hammond

its obviously not clear who exactly does what. The long contracts that have been handed out to some of the players where they maybe shouldn't have been (Yann, Joey particularly) seem to have been more RG than BT Wouldn't say the recruitment or the amounts paid have been particularly poor, excepting...

Re: Hammond

Is this the RG who apparently doesnt had a clue what he's doing? He doesnt...but then again nor does Tevreden.. Yeah, of course he doesn't, he just spent 20 years poncing a living at Umbro, Manchester United and Chelsea. He openly admitted that there was a steep learning curve for him in the first ...

looks like the sort of thing Handbags Harris would do, major league arsehole. Woah woah woah.... That's not very fair tbh, he's a decent guy, passionate fan and friendly. To you yes. Everyones story is different though, not everyone gets on. This. The one experience I had with him he was very unple...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

Good luck to Clement in turning this around , because we have simply become a team that are used to losing, and it’s a very tricky spiral to get out of. Bloody hell Wazzock, it's only the first game. Is there anything to "turn around". We've not lost 5 games on the bounce all due to being...

Re: Club up for sale again?

The club is up for sale all the time, that’s the norm for most football clubs.

I think what the ‘sale’ in January relates to is our owners trying to sell off a large (but still minority) stake in the club to one of their pals - it didn’t happen.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

I am generally an optimist, but I’m surprised to see so much positivity about last night and I can’t relate to it. To me, all last night showed was that we have got into the habit of losing matches, and it is very worrying. Agreed, we played well until we scored the scored the goal, but the collapse...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

tbf the club are pretty poor on the press front imo. Its not just the dynamic duo from the Chron, JLow who comes over as pretty inoffensive, struggles to get anything much either. The press conferences seem to be an absolute bare minimum. Even Watts used to moan about it, but he managed to get a co...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I thought Paultheroyal said last week the kit is revealed late this week... Why are you all getting worried about this. It’s not unusual for Reading to have no new kit unveiled until the season starts. Ridiculous though that is. Be interesting to know the reason we get these stupidly late release d...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19 - Renewal Deadline 5pm on Monday 2nd July 2018.

The nearest I can see is £235 for over 65’s in the ED Stand. There does not seem to be a single price at £230 anywhere. £230 is over 65 renewal price in East and Lower West. They must really have messed up the data though as I was 'given' that price in my flyer and sit in the ED stand. My renewal w...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19 - Renewal Deadline 5pm on Monday 2nd July 2018.

It really wasn't an obvious error. I wasn't sure. Like I said the card was addressed to me personally and stated "Your season ticket is £99 to say thank you for your loyal support". The issue here is that some were unsure if it was a marketing thing or an error. For anyone that understand...
