Re: Rumour: Stephen Ireland

apparently Smudger Smith is at this moment running down to Starbucks to try to get a sighting Nah, he's running down to Starbucks for the free WiFi. Bung in free refills and he's set for an afternoon of cat videos on YouTube. He's probably sulking cos the Chronicle had their best man Friday on the ...

Re: CONFIMRED: Sone Aluko

From a guess based on figures in the accounts, I reckon we paid as much as 5m for him up front I imagine a lot of the other add ons were promotion based, so not a problem there :) I'm not sure his transfer would figure in any published accounts yet would it. I might be wrong but pretty sure the las...

Re: World Cup 2018

Not a fan of strikers being captains but the options are fairly limited. Would probably have gone with Henderson due to him doing that job for Liverpool but not that fussed either way. As long as he isn't on free kick duty its all good! Who do we have for free kick duty though? Rashford, Dier, Young?

Re: Building for next season

Not for me, accident waiting to happen. Saw him in a game 2 season ago for West Ham when they lost at home to Watford, comfortably 2-0 up, Collins mistake -> 2-1, West Ham lose the game 2-4. No better than what we have and would rather see a couple of youngsters get some bench time. That's just 1 g...

Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

IF this deal goes through I feel this could be a big turning point. Last season it took forever to get deals over the line and we often lost out. I am also assured that Clement and co seem to be looking at champ players and not foreign punts. A big statement of intent ( yes I used it) if this happe...

Re: England - the future....

As above, pretty happy with the squad. Are we not heavy on defenders though? You've got Maguire, Stones, Jones and Cahill as centre-backs, and Walker who can play there. Then you have Walker, Trippier and Alexander-Arnold who can play right-back, and Rose, Young and Delph. Surely we could have lost...

Re: England - the future....

There is a dearth of creativity/flair available to England to whether his form dipped a little at the end of a season not taking Wilshire is a big mistake by Southgate in my opinion, especially given Oxlade-Chamberlain's absence. I can only assume he's going to take Lallana and doesn't want the poss...

Re: BFTG Fulham

Be intersting to see how we play against a lesser team (ie the next 3) particularly if we don’t get an early goal The games have panned out as they have at home due to us scoring an early goal, and away as we’ve played 2 decent teams Yes and in Clement's defence , Villa aside, he's picked pretty at...

Re: BFTG Fulham

A new manager has come in, and the only tangible difference I can see between the two styles is that instead of trying to pass the ball out of defence we are giving it a big hoof instead. Totally disagree with this - the defence look far more assured on the ball knowing that they can hit it long if...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

As long as we're safe by that point, I'd be happy to let Cardiff have the victory on the last day to send them up, and subsequently for Fulham to lose spectacularly in the play offs. Can't see how anyone, regardless of their disdain for Fulham, would pass up the chance to directly piss on another t...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

God yeah, hope they get stuffed in the Semis. Actually no, I hope they get humiliated in the final. Fulham will still be targetting 2nd. Cardiff have Wolves, Villa and Derby still to play. Not beyond the realms of possibility that they could lose all 3. Fulham have to play Weds, Us, Sunderland and ...

That's no excuse. Man up Mendes. Clement OUT if he doesn't play a half crooked striker next game instead of Smith or Martin. Well he`s back in full training and had a full game for the U23s a coule of weeks ago. . while on the subject of injuries . doesnt look like we will see Elphick again ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (a) sponsored by a night out in the Midlands

Agree it’s a bit of an overreaction. I think things were going to plan quite well until Edwards idiocy However it’s a reality check for anyone who thought otherwise - we’re a pretty poor team. No manager coming In can change that with 8 games to go Whether we are poor enough to go down - I don’t th...

Absolutely and I wouldn't be surprised if the size of the squad isn't a factor towards some of our injury woes this season.

Re: Stam Gone

Quotes from Stam himself: https://tucanafinancial.com/wp-content/uploads/Pinchofsalt.jpg I can't see how given the last two years figures the owners would be keeping us at or borderline 100% against the edge of FFP. With the profit last year, it's more likely we're trying to create as much room to ...

Re: who do you want as the new manager

Why don't they just get a the kit man or Kingsley Royal to manage till the end of the season then decide . I cant imagine one fan turning cartwheels for Clement , a proven failed sacked manager. His championship record (such that it is) is good. His one relegation battle, he succeeded against the o...

Steve Cotterell now in the frame. Dave Kitson as his assistant presumably.
