Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Well Moore is a lot more ‘proven’ at this level, no matter how good Miazga has been. Also basically the club captain, and pots last year. We actually don’t know how good Miazga would be partnered with say McIntyre. They’ve been very much a partnership Yep. Moore is also turning into an inspirationa...

Re: Speculation - Players From The Relegated Trio

Vaulks wants to leave Rotherham and would be a decent signing.

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Anyone who wants Moore sold - albeit reluctantly - obviously doesn't understand how important it is to have 'winners/characters' in the dressing room. The guy is the defacto captain, he's an articulate spokesman for the team and seems to want to succeed at Reading as much as anything. I don't think...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Prioritise the ones most likely to happen. If we sell Swift I think we could buy Baker. Sell Moore I think we could buy Miazga. Oliveira I think there is already a fee in place. Martinez - Won't come here in a million years, he is better than us by a country mile EjarIa - Got a feeling Liverpool wo...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

yes maybe missed Gunter (I wasn't taking notes :) ) But it was certainly only a smallish percentage. Maybe it was made more obvious by seeing Martinez and Moore making the big effort to come over to the ED Gunts walked down clapping the East Stand but then stopped before reaching us lot in the ED S...

Re: Which of the loanees would you prioritise?

Listening to the CEO tonight, they will be shipping out the top earners That will be Swift, MOORE, McCleary, Gunter for starters. They have to ship out the top earners, players getting "too much" for RFC's position/status. The point about selling Moore is (say) 10 Million (which we might ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Not sure you're encouraging much of an atmosphere in the ED stand by telling people to go to the south stand. I’m sure those of us in the ED Stand will cope. I fully back what Club 1871 are now doing. They are advertising it hard and it’s working. The atmosphere in the ED was great on Monday so the...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I am not sure that Martinez is as out of reach as posters suggest. He has had just 6 senior appearances for Arsenal in 6 years and has had 6 loan deals. Although Cech is retiring they have Iliev as their regular U23 keeper who is 2 years younger than Martinez and Emery may well sign another keeper....

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

It’s odd that we still don’t have a Technical Director. It’s been a few months now. We are none the wiser as to who takes the kudos for the January signings. Whoever it was did a brilliant job. Just as important was that the players bought in to what Gomes wanted. They did and we have improved as a ...

Re: End of season contracts

Harriott May get another deal. The others ooc May as well pack their bags now Reckon McCleary and Gunter have kept themselves at the club for their final year as a result of recent performances The club definitely needs to trim down the playing staff though. They’d be more than happy to sell the 5 ...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

I’ve supported the club for 47 years and cannot remember a season where we managed to avoid relegation having been in such dire straits at the start of the New Year. It’s been a brilliant turnaround. Just compare the atmosphere today compared with the likes of QPR, Bolton etc. Jose Gomes take a bow...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

First off. A big well done to Club 1871. You were fantastic today. It was great to hear you singing well in advance of the match starting. The atmosphere right the way around the ground was terrific but was the gate really only 17,255. A brilliant point considering the first twelve minutes Martinez....
