Re: BFTG - Forest

Ian, you were just looking for another excuse to have a pop at the best right back in the Championship. You have only watched highlights of Reading this season. I can tell you that Gunter has been a model of consistency for the Royals this season. He has added steel and agression to his game. He has...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Absobloodylutely! Although having been to the Fulham and Man Utd debacles earlier in the year, I'd say this wasn't as bad by any stretch. IMO yesterday we really should have equalised....The panic that set in the Forest players after Yann's first shows why they are where they are. Previous to that,...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

Another possibly realistic move for Reading could be a swoop for the Iranian Messi. Sardar Azmoun. He currently plays for FC Rostov. I think Klopp was interested to try and take him to Liverpool. He might be slightly out of our range but you never know.

I also like the look of Botafogo's Camilo. I reckon he could do a job for us in the Premier League. He has enough flair.

I'd love to see the return of Shane Long.

Also if Swansea get relegated a homecoming for Gylfi would be a great move for us as well.

Joe Hart is also a good shout. Can't see that one happening though.

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

I'd like us to sign the Adelaide United starlet Riley McGree. I've seen him play a few times this season for Adelaide on BT Sport when they show the A League on Saturday and Sunday mornings. He looks a very classy player. Definitely Australia's hottest prospect. Has anyone else seen this lad perform...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Can't really understand the 'we were well beaten' and 'could have been four or five' posts. Yes we were poor for the first half hour and let in two very sloppy goals at the start of the 2nd half. Just so similar to too many away games this season. Absobloodylutely! Although having been to the Fulha...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Utterly clueless rubbish for the first hour and then played well for the last half an hour. A bit like the Derby game but in reverse. Did not understand why on earth Popa was being used as a wing back as he looked hopeless in that role Unless you experiment with these players, you will never know w...

Re: BFTG - Forest

I pondered over ether to post or not as I didn't want to be appear to be gloating. That was a massive 3 points for Forest. Oddly at the City Ground, teams that have come to play football have been beaten maybe because they push and make it a more open game. We move on and I wish Reading all the bes...

Why wasn't Gmac on the pitch? Is he injured at the moment or was Jaap giving him a rest?

Re: The Non - League thread

Rather disappointing loss for Maidenhead in their big clash with Ebbsfleet, especially after going a goal up. Ebbsfleet's equaliser changed the game, as they didn't really look like they believed up to that point. From there Maidenhead looked pretty shot, and struggled to create anything, and never...

Re: The Non - League thread

Probably. Although I heard the Hungerford coach talking with some of the fans behind the goal. He was saying that they have the appeal on Wednesday and they seem quite hopeful. He was saying that today's game would be really hard for Hungerford but they really need to win it. Maybe that didn't feed ...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Well that was interesting! We started slowly and their first goal was coming. Terrible defending again after giving the ball away cheaply. Felt we came into it as the first half ended. However, we were defensively so poor again to concede the two after HT. Evans and Beerens (who I've previously bee...

Re: The Non - League thread

Great game of football at Grosvenor Vale Ruislip this afternoon. The Stones made easy work of Hungerford Town. On the evidence of today it is quite difficult to understand what it is about Hungerford that has seen them fly so high in the league. I'm not really sure what they have about them as a tea...

Re: Ilori. Why did we buy him?

Yeah. I don't know. I'm not judging Stam. I'm just saying that I don't know anything about Tiago so I wouldn't know the answer to the original question. I do trust Stam's judgement though. If Stam thinks it's right then that is all that matters. I ain't got a scooby doo.

He has not judged him. He merely asked a question and awaits your answers.

I haven't got a clue why Stam signed him.
