Re: Paying with Member cards

The club seem to want everyone to deposit monies with them in order to spend at the ground. And everything at the ground is so expensive. I bought a coffee and two diet pepsi's and was a little taken aback by the £7.10 cost of three little drinks. An instant coffee and two soda drinks. Quite shocki...

Re: BFTG - QPR (A)

Seems to me the blood, guts and effort required to get somewhere in the Championship is somehow trained out of them/negated by this blind reliance on Stam's system. A lot of "itll come good if we keep passing it" out there, but not a lot of willing to do the dirty work ala Mackie etc toda...

Re: BFTG - QPR (A)

I feel like the club has been deliberately going for a slow start since we lost in the play-offs. Everything in pre-season seem half arsed from signings to friendlies and an opening display like that was guaranteed. The lack of urgency with signings particularly - it seems like we're waiting for de...

Re: New Royal Rewards Loyalty Scheme

Quick question nobbers on this scheme. I just ordered 2 new football kits £160 from the Reading FC shop forgetting about this new loyalty reward scheme. I paid for it on my normal debit card. Then I remembered this scheme exists. Have I now missed out on some reward points because of that? Should I ...

Weren't we linked with him last year or is that my imagination ?

Now you say that, it feels like it rings a bell. I can't remember to be honest.

Re: matchwatch : reading v vitesse arnhem (at adams park, 3pm)

Going to be fun if Bodvarsson is out for any length of time as I can't see Smith being considered quite ready for FL action just yet. Smith has rapidly shot up the pecking order. Last season he was on loan in the National League South at Hemel or St Albans can't remember which one. Now he could be ...

Re: matchwatch : reading v vitesse arnhem (at adams park, 3pm)

Very good performance in the second half. Both from the boys on the pitch and the lads behind the goal making it feel like the game mattered. At half time I was a bit worried with what we had served up but by the end of the second I feel there is reason for optimism. Smith and Loader look good. Mayb...

File under Blackett and Obita. Fancy dan on the ball but not the type you want when under the cosh. I would be more than confident if I had Obita with me down in the trenches. Same with Blackett. They stood up to a barrage of mortar fire against Fulham. They have certainly proved that they are guys...

Re: Safe standing progress

Is safe standing really taking over the world ? Is it not essentially a UK issue ? Are there many other countries where football grounds are compelled legally to be all seater ? For European grounds it is only European games that require seating so they come at this from the opposite angle (how do ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Jon Dadi Bodvarsson

Yes probably all of those nations, maybe bar Sweden Then I really don't get your point. The size of the nation doesn't correlate to the quality of their players? I would rather have Hamsik than some young English player for example. Not size of nation, but quality of nation. I'd rather have Gareth ...

Re: Stam signs new 2 year deal.

Absolutely delighted with this news. Jaap remains on track to achieve legendary status at our football club. There is still a lot of work to be done but he has made an incredible start to his career as Royals boss. I am really looking forward to this new season and supporting the team to go one bett...

Re: The Non - League thread

Wealdstone have got Fulham this Saturday.

I fancy going along just to take the p*ss out of those Fulham fans who thought they were Barcelona.
It'll be an under 23 outfit that Fulham put out.

Re: CONFIMRED - John Swift

Coventry and Huddersfield were the REALLY IMPORTANT penalty shootouts that we've been involved in. Didn't we knock West Ham out on penalties on 9/11? We have beaten some teams on pens in early round league cup meetings and last season in the checkatrade trophy. We have won most of the time on pens. ...

The sooner we can sign these players and the football season can start the better. I hate spending Saturday's with a woman. I can't wait for QPR away. Bring the game on.

Re: CONFIMRED - John Swift

Swift was poor in the last few games because of the system/tactics and nothing else. When he plays in a diamond or 4-3-3 and has lots of players moving up the pitch with him and attacking the opposition then that is when Swift is at his best. During our play off campaign we were extremely defensive ...

Then the year after it'll be whoever we send to Bath. What happened to Cruzeiro last night Maffff? They lost at Ponte Preta didn't they. Corinthians are looking good at the moment. Jo is in good form. I watched the first 20 minutes of the Corinthians/Bahia game and was lining up a bet to back Corin...

Swift looks good tonight.

He does well when he has players close to him making little runs. I would have liked to see Abraham start tonight. I think Swift and Abraham link up well when they play together. They have good chemistry.

Re: 2017/18 Championship Fixtures

Good shout but I think we're ok as they are showing Sunderland v Derby on the Friday night . Yep. Good news. I'm already looking forward to this season now. It's going to be some ride. For me it starts on July 22nd away to Wealdstone. I'm surprised the Reading FC website hasn't announced any friend...
