Re: Now we have a manager

That's our hope, yes. Unfortunately the boss couldn't come on last Friday night, but hopefully you heard Frank Lampard Senior, who seemed a lovely guy. Listen again on the i-player via bbc.co.uk/berkshire I'll be leaving BBC Radio Berkshire for a little while from 1st September to work in another ar...

Re: Now we have a manager

We'll be doing our best Barry, don't worry. We may collect questions from you all via email or something and put them to him in a quiet moment during the Sweden tour, or get him in the studio one Friday evening as you suggest. Watch this space!

Re: Bobby Convey on Sportsweek tonight...

Sorry for short notice by the way...we've been trying to get Bobby on for a while...

Today, he was in bed until 0945 San Jose time (1745 UK time) so confirmed with minutes to spare!

Bobby Convey on Sportsweek tonight...

...live from San Jose.

We're hoping to speak to Glen Little too, therefore maintaining the BBC's impartiality...(left wing, right wing, geddit?)

Re: Edited Podcast

I am out of the office today but I believe the 4 minutes of silence was a technological error which has either been fixed or is being fixed.

Re: Edited Podcast

Simply not enough time for whole Steve Coppell interview plus all the best bits from Graeme Murty. We operate on a strict time limit for the podcasts.

Friday Sportsweek 13.02

Unlucky for some on Friday the 13th, I am in the hotseat for Sportsweek between 6 and 7pm. A couple of things to call in about... 1. Paul Fletcher's blog about Reading on BBC Sport Online http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/02/reading_managing_the_pain_of_r.html What do you make of it? Are ...

Re: Use of 084 numbers

Sadly, reporting from Zimbabwe is somehat out of my jurisdiction. But well done for getting me to rise to the bait of BBC bashing. As for the 0845 issue...I have an official response from an Reading-supporting engineer no less... "It's the same price as a local rate call from wherever you are i...

Re: Curtailed Royals Footy Shows

You could all just jack in the football and listen to Ollie and I doing live ice hockey commentary online instead...(cue anti-ice hockey bile no doubt) Seriously though, on the issue of repetition of highlights, it's a tricky one because as John suggests, people are tuning in all the time between 5 ...

Hello all, I am still here too and can assure you that your comments have been read and understood. Our use and interaction of this forum is really down to personal preference. I believe this BBC Radio Berkshire section was set up by Ollie, with Joel Hufford's input. When Ollie left, I effectively t...

Re: Fridays at 6pm

I'm investigating the Listen Again issue, thanks for spotting it!...the whole Listen Again enterprise is run by a BBC team in Birmingham so I will contact them ASAP. Re: Fridays at 6pm

We've decided to slightly alter the format this season and so far I think it's been a big success. Rather than shape each programme round just one player each week, we want to get players on for shorter, more spontaneous bursts and make the programme more about your views/reaction. That is not to sa...

Re: Pre Season

Sorry, I've been on preseason myself, holidaying in Ireland where I bumped into some Reading fans at Killarney Races.

The plan is to do regular reports from the Sweden tour and live coverage of the game against Steve Sidwell and Aston Villa.

All as normal for the Championship season.

Thanks, Andy
