Of course if European qualification was sorted into something like 15 groups of 4 with just the winners progressing then Italy would most likely have qualified with ease - plus fixture calendars wouldn't get clogged up with a load of pointless games and leagues wouldn't keep getting stopped for 2 w...

I think Rose could be seen as fair enough as he is probably out first choice lb. I wouldn't have Drinkwater near the team to be honest and would rather JW in the squad (he would most likely be a benchwarmer)

That was abysmal decision making. I have no idea how it wad ever a penalty. 50mph shot from 4 yards away that hit his upper arm when he turned around. Shame because Switzerland are boooooooring to watch
