Re: Ups & Downs 2017/18

They've basically always been tier 2 of the non league pyramid and got into Conference North because of restructuring. They've won the top tier of the non league pyramid but prior to 1986, there was no relegation but the bottom 4 of the football league would apply for re-election along with any non ...

Re: Rival Watch

Particularly as we are stuck in the same relegation shitpile as Bolton. It's hilarious but only for being a fcuking stupid thing to do. If we had an ex Barnsley player and he started tweeting about how he loved the boys at Barnsley, I think there'd be a fair few pissed off Reading fans. Got no issue...

Re: Rival Watch

Safe to say the Bolton fans are not happy with Jem :D https://twitter.com/JemKaracan6/status/987748693897109504 Can’t say I blame them... Alfie and Jem post about their memories at Reading a heck of a lot, if one of ours was to do that during a relegation battle I’d be pretty miffed. At least...

Re: Relegation Watch

@Royal-jimmy Not true. If Barnsley beat Forest, they are 3 points ahead of Burton with 2 to play. Barnsley have Brentford who are very much in the playoff mix and Derby, who will in all likelihood stlll be in the playoff mix, even with Cardiff and Villa also still to play as Millwall in 6th have to ...

Looking for positives here. Ipswich is a winnable game and looking at Forest's results in the last couple of months, they have consistently pick up point against the teams below them so wins for Barnsley and Bolton against them are far from foregone conclusions

Forest have just got to get something from that game as it would leave Burton still with something to play for at home to Bolton.

Fair enough, rudderless ship then. I'd still hand pick them at home for a must win game.

Fcuk that up and we really do deserve to go down.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

Calm down double d, Bolton are losing and have a vastly inferior goal difference. It would make next week an absolute must win game though. Agreed Let's see how today ends before speculating, although Ipswich are on the beach and their manager is marking time before leaving. All is not well in Suff...

Correct. Reading are the only club he has managed against in the premier league that he has played and not beaten at home. We drew 2-2 in 2006-07 and by the time we played them at Stamford Bridge the following season, Avram Grant was manager

West Brom?

His Chelsea team beat them at home in 2004-05 and 2005-06

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Leaving Burton was a disaster for him, wasn't it? Did brilliant at Burton but failed everywhere else but then that's probably true of a lot of managers, do well somewhere and not worked out anywhere else. Seems to be something about Burton though. Their managers can't seem to do wrong as they all a...

Re: Building for next season

The time to sign Long was 2 years ago. My over riding memory of Robson Kanu in his last 2 seasons was acres of space on the wing where he was supposed to be. Only showed up for the cameras. A very good player when he can be arsed but the only headlines he's made in the Premiership were for cheating ...

Re: Building for next season

Thing with Wieser is that, granted he's a Leichtensteiner so hardly from a country with any footballing pedigree and he was a completely bizarre signing but he has played for Basel and Hoffenheim and has made a reasonable number of appearances in the Swiss top flight. He can't be completely useless.

I reckon he'll turn up for pre season training and Clement will think he's the work experience tea boy.
