Re: BFTG - Preston

I've not been able to go to matches for a while so haven't seen Reading play for a while but just curious if everyone agrees that Aluko is a waste of space or are there those who disagree but keep quiet on here? I just find it strange that everyone is so negative about him yet the manager obviously...

It seems a shame that someone who gave so much out on the park should end up selling sandwiches for a living, especially at his age. Mind you, he may be making good money.

Re: Season Defining Moments

That draw vs a Yeovil team who went down and had 9 (?) Men. Caused brighton  to get into the playoffs instead Think they had two sent off and another went off through injury so played against 8 men for the last 10 minutes or so. Couldn't believe we didn't score. No it was 3 sending offs First...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by back the boyz and make some noiz

Nothing to do with tonight's match, but this is the best bit of news we've had in ages. Hopefully either or both can have a positive impact in the run-in. They certainly shouldn't have any "monkeys on backs" caused by the current dismal run, so might add a bit of spark? [url][http://www.r...

Re: Robin Friday Info reqd

Not so unusual now, but those games were played during the three-day week period and were all played on Sundays. Admission was by paid-for programme only due to the Sunday Observance laws. I think you might also find that around about that time, the Football Club tried to get a Sunday market going ...

Re: Boycott

I've been boycotting Reading football matches for about three years now and I find that not having to spend time with other Reading fans and not having to watch Reading play football has made me much, much happier. You should try going along to a game or two of rugby - higher class fans at a higher...

Well, when you consider that their Manager just a couple of seasons ago, walked up to an opposition player on the touchline, and headbutted him, you just can't imagine what he could say.

Re: Stam is doing this deliberately.

I'm as unhappy as the next bloke but sometimes things just don't work Look at Sheffield Wednesday, great last season, poor this (one place above us) so they sack the manager who has worked miracles at Swansea We sack Brendan Rogers and then he comes to within a whisker of winning the Premier League...

Don't say that Norfolk, you are a boon to the site. Incidentally, while you are on, do you happen to know why The Duke of Norfolk's main residence is in Sussex and not Norfolk? Why is Leeds Castle in Kent and Buckingham Palace in what was once Middlesex? Leeds Castle IS in Leeds  Yes albeit a...

Re: Time ticking on Managerial Change

We do not want to leave this as late as 1998. We still have time for a manager to come in, kick everyone up the arse and scrape to safety. However remember to when Terry the Taxi Driver was kept on for so long. Who do we bring in? Straight away my mind goes to managers who have turned clubs around....
