Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I would suggest that the typical match day attendance can be broken down into:; 'Elm Park Legacy' ~ 8,000ish (10,000 with family) 'Mad Stad hardcore' (basically 'Y26ers') - 2,000ish Casual fans - Between 1,000 and 6,000 depending on how well the team is doing. That gets topped up to capacity by 'to...

Reading 1-2 Hull, basically a repeat of the Norwich game.

Re: Record Watch 2018/19

Can we add the new club record of worse home record at the start of the season - 4 defeats to the list, It's one I think we could break again this Saturday.

Re: Protest

Boycott one of our matches and fill out Reading City's ground for a home game instead all wearing Reading FC shirts. Have Reading Town rebranded? Yes, now known as Reading City still based at Scours Lane. Reason for this as a suggestion, a message to the club that right now we would rather pay to w...

Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

McDermott Championship winning season - No matter the score, you always thought we had a chance of getting something from the game before the final whistle (mostly thanks to supersub Le Fondre) Current team - No matter the score, you are never confident that we will get anything from the game before...

Re: BFTG - Norwich

Where has the club captain disappeared to? Not a peep out of him. He chirps up on an almost daily basis when things are going well but like the other players he tucks his tail between his legs and runs when things go downhill. He is a disgrace. Maybe he has more time on his hands to do things like ...

Re: Protest

So as fans are we just going to stay silent, not turn up at games and melt away? Or are we going to try and do something about the mess that is now Reading FC? Do we need another PANTS Day? Could we protest at the shambles with some humour and get some PR going? Anybody got any ideas? A protest to ...

I recall worse teams and worse performances, but never a team that has been so consistently bad, particularly with the defence switching off so often causing us to concede soft goals.

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I'd like to know how the developers pull together these stats and whether there is anyway to measure them? In your eyes does the country only have a set number of jobs available at any one time? You can't imagine new investment and infrastructure creating jobs w...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Maybe the Club1871 lot should sit back amongst the fans and try to inject some enthusiasm into the crowd rather than try to be the crowd/alienate theirselves from some of the fans? It would also help to not sit the club1871 fans next to the loudest fans in the ground - the away fans, who can drown o...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Reading Green Park will receive £2.3m towards a total project cost of £16.5m with the DFT saying it "has the potential to unlock 7,500 new jobs and 1,500 homes". I can understand it might create some jobs for people working at the station, but seriously how is it going to unlock 7,500 new...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I've noticed a few times Club 1871 doing things they said they were not going to do, instead of cheering on/supporting the lads they were having a sing off with the away fans and also singing the names of players not actually on the pitch playing..... Yes, by all means sing a song for Paul McShane i...

Stoke singing Delilah just before kick off when they had the entire away end.

Other than that, probably a play off final where both teams had something to play for

Re: Do we really have billionaire owners?

You don't become and remain a billionaire business person by throwing money at problems. They bought the club, the price they paid is history and not relevant to their future decision making. They may decide it's best to cut their loses, take whatever offer is on the table from elsewhere and invest ...
