Was definitely Bas Savage.

Jimmy Socks was a name I heard used for Kebe a few times after sockg8, mostly by the same couple of people in the West Lower, so likely not a widespread name.

Maybe he got himself sent off on purpose knowing it would have a positive effect on his side.

Re: Postponement tomorrow?

If it does get called off it will be at the end of half time again so that they can make sure everyone buys hotdogs, teas and alcoholic beverages instead of just heading home, just like they did when we had fog on the pitch. More chance of heavy rain calling the game off - Leicester City at home on ...

Re: Witty?Humorous Player Nicknames

Bas Savage - Bambi, After one of the tabloids described him as playing like Bambi on Ice and a player who kicked the ball as if it was his mortal enemy. There used to be a Reading player called Murray (not Scott Murray or Glenn Murray) and his nickname, was Minty.... as I'm sure every player called ...

Re: Witty?Humorous Player Nicknames

Skittles I assume refers to the effect of his tackling? I believe Martin Williams acquired the name Skittles due to the number of times he fell over the ball. Sonko = Superman, The nickname was acquired in a game where he stopped the ball with his chest..... the match report contains the facts, but...

Re: The Legend of Robin Friday

Saw this article on the BBC yesterday - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42149232 - Omar Abdulrahman: Is he the best footballer you've never heard of? But can he score a 100 yarder from the Tilehurst End in front of 85,000,000 while taking a dump in Lawro's kit bag? You forgot the bit about knoc...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

I remember Phil Whitehead making an absolute howler at home to Peterborough in I think 2002, or 03? Where he kind of threw it in the net All I remember of Phil Whitehead was the hissy fit he threw (and the gloves he threw) in the warmup after the crowd cheered new permanent signing, Marcus Hahneman...

Did anyone see the kerfuffle in the stands where a Sunderland fan allegedly pulled his trousers down and was suspected of taking a dump in the stands? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/sunderland-fan-did-not-defecate-13987672 http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news...

I wonder if there's anyone they can identify on their computer system as having been to all 500 games?

Re: Mad Stad 500th Game

We got a free scarf for the Madejski Stadium 10 or 15 year anniversary, so maybe we'll get another one for the 500th game? (Incidentally, it's the Madejski Stadium's 20th anniversary next year.)

Probably just be a chance to win 500 cans of carabao or maybe a Fiat 500 with Reading FC vinyl wrap?

If you're talking away sides only, then I 100% agree.

However, a win is a win and let's hope it inspires the players to win the next game.

That could be great news for his next employer because if we drop further down the table the board may feel there isn't time for him to get things right.

Stam takes trick or treating seriously and has a few scars post-transition out of his Frankenstein costume.... but it's nothing compared to last year when he dressed up as the wicked witch of the east . Out of interest*, why did you plum for the lesser-known of the two Wicked Witches? Don't ask me,...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Could the Thai's be in co-hoots with the Chinese and plan on forming the Thames Valley Royals and selling both stadiums to groundshare with Didcot Town? With Anton and Samuelson behind the whole thing!! It all makes sense now! And they would probably have got way with it too if it wasn't for you pe...
