Re: The Relegation Years

So - we need an ex-striker to coach our defence, and an ex-defender to coach our strikeforce! Funny enough, I recall Alan Pardew saying that was the system they had with us, he coached the defence and Martin Allen attack - I know they were both midfielders, but in my mind Allen was more defensive a...

Just to confirm the death of so-called Dutch "Total Football", see the recent article in When Saturday Comes titled Total Disaster, which contains this quote about De Boer's spell at Palace - "his faults partially reflect the inflexible and obsolete thinking that now characterises th...

It might be theory training with an exam at the end with question such as "If you find yourself in front of an open goal should you A: Shoot, B: Dive or C: pass the ball back to your own goalkeeper?"

He never has tbf.
But he cares about his own reputation and income (both current and future), both of which would be adversely affected by the results/inability to turn things around

Re: The alternative course of action now...

The best way for Stam to improve the atmosphere for his players is to tell the fans to boo him, Let him take the flack - A chant of Sacked in the morning or Stam Out is going to make it clear to the players that they are not the ones being blamed/booed and that will probably be better than gerneric...

Re: What was the single biggest mistake we made this season?

Biggest mistake we made this season - Renewing our season tickets? On the club side of things - Not signing a proven striker at the start of the season & blowing the budget on unnecessary midfielders. We all knew a striker was the priority, a goalkeeper became a close second after Al Habsi left ...

FAO Season Ticket Holders - Renew or not?

Money talks, maybe this will have more effect than a Stam in/out poll.

Re: The reason we're stuck with Stam

When Alan Pardew was manager here, he went through a phase where the players were in need of motivation and he saved his job by bringing a new assistant manager in the form of Martin Mad Dog Allen to, amongst other things improve morale and make things fun again. Some of the things I remember - gett...

Re: Derby is Pants Day 2

Get your Y fronts and swing them about. Let's get Stam out before it's too late We collectively can't even bring ourselves to chant "sacked in the morning" or knock up a "Stam out banner" so I can't see this getting momentum. The original PANTS day was perhaps more about the pla...

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

The amount of booing at the end of the games has started to reduce significantly, the board will probably take that as a sign the fans are no longer displeased with the tactics and are now behind the manager.... until they realise it's because half the fans who could be bothered to attend left 20 mi...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

Can we have another of these after the game? In fact how about after every game? How about we have one during the game too and allow everyone to change their vote as many times as they want (that is an option) I love a flip flop poll. Let's do it. Done! http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?...
