Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Could the Thai's be in co-hoots with the Chinese and plan on forming the Thames Valley Royals and selling both stadiums to groundshare with Didcot Town? With Anton and Samuelson behind the whole thing!! It all makes sense now! And they would probably have got way with it too if it wasn't for you pe...

Re: Best goal scored at the Mad Stad

IT’s Convey against Millwall. Goals by the opposition come hehind every goal we’ve scored, in joint last place.... +1 How it missed out on goal of the season beggars belief. Anyone remember which goal won? - Must have been a cracker to beat Convey's. One personal favourite of mine was from a corner...

At least Burns was paying penny sweet prices, Stam is paying Lindt prices.

Does Ron Gourlay have a beard? If so his name would fit nicely into a certain Bill Oddie song

Convey v Millwall
Cureton v Sheffield Weds(?) - The late goal where he belted it from near the halfway like.

At least he was there for their inception.
Possibly also has video evidence too in case there are any doubters.

Re: Royston Drenthe

Playing football for a living whilst earning tens of thousands of £'s a week so your partner does not have to work and can afford to hire in help/family sounds like a sensible scenario in which to raise a family, if that's what you want. Alternatively, being a high paid Real Madrid player and having...

With luck, Reading might reach 700 league goals scored at the Mad Stad this season.

That's the one I remembered.

Has anyone broken this news to Darius Henderson? Not that he likely remembers/cares.

I thought I'd quickly add up how many goals we've scored at the Madejski Stadium (Excl Friendlies/Reserve games), Data copy/pasted off of hobnob match results pages. Re: 6,000 League goals - FAO Strap

Didn't Darius Henderson hit a goal landmark a few years ago? It might have been Madejski Stadium related though, something like the 1,000th goal scored at the stadium.

Maybe we can have a countdown to some records?

Unless things improve entertainment wise I'm not going to renew my season ticket regardless of whether we get relegated or not. When I factor in the bus journey to the ground, the hour waiting about for the match and the bus journey home that's around 5 hours of boredom that I'm paying money for. J...

Re: Relegation

Barcelona and Man City could both be said to be using 'Dutch' tactics and they aren't doing so bad this year We don't really have the players for 10 men behind the ball and go long ball - not at least until Yann is fully 100%. And we'd still concede no matter how many we put back the way we are pla...
