Re: Rival Watch

Anyone think QPR could get sucked in, since beating Boro lost 7 and 1 draw in 8, next 3 are against teams in the top 6, could easily lose those as well. They probably have an easy run in, but confidence will be rock bottom, and there's nearly always one team who falls into it late in the day, just h...

gr8 finish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbmCnFElD2c You know how nostalgia tricks you into thinking entire seasons were end-to-end, thrill a minute goal fests? Well, that Derby game was absolute shite. The highlight was Uri Geller's half time entertainment. Anyone remember the coloured card mind...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h) sponsored by Gunnarsson hitting the bar

No changes for me, unless NO is fit, in which case bring him back for Aluko. Other than that, keep the same team, consistency of selection and the first choices all playing together will be key as we move forwards.

Re: Clement's week on a beach in Dubai last week

But true Reading fans at least go to some games - he's always on here during match time....I'd rather fans supported the team rather than compile fancy databases of info that's already out there Don't know about you but I get an internet connection inside the stadium. Might depend on your operator....

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Doesn't it all come down to football supporters being inherently thick? Man for man, I doubt there's much difference between the two teams and that they are currently over achieving and we the opposite, in a division where the margins are extremely fine. You are Paul Clement and I claim my five pou...

excellent. Re: This season v last season

I never quite get the last season v this season comparisons. I can't remember who we played in those first 10 games, but if the 5 we lost were against Wolves, Cardiff, Fulham, Villa and Boro (who were the top 5 at the end of the season) and the 5 we've lost this year are against 5 of the teams that ...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Utter, utter drivel. I feel for Clement, at the same time I wonder where his managerial skills are. He doesn't seem to motivate the team, he admitted he got the selection wrong last night. He may be a good coach, he is not a good manager. Having said that I am not yet in the Clement out camp, last n...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Wh, How, Who & Why Thread

Ok so what about outside the ground? The Millwall supporters will notice how few Reading fans are going into the South Stand and take advantage of them. The other factor is you will have Reading supporters thinking they are tough moving into the South Stand for the day purely to get close to the Mi...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Reading FC have a good record of bringing Academy payers through to the first team but much depends on how they do on loan to League 1 and 2. For example in the past the likes of Obita, Sigurdsson and Hector did very well on loan and then got their first team chance. Sadly over the last couple of y...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Benefits to supporters of being in Club 1871 as I see it: 1) Increased singing and participation in chants 2) Less queuing in the concourse 3) Being part of something trying to make a positive difference 4) Increased visibility with players Negatives of being in Club 1871: 1) Having to move seat fro...

And therein lies the problem. You promote one of those, they miss out on game time with the U23's with no chance Clement is going to use them in a match situation.......

Re: Club developed players

There's a rule change for this season that says that each Football League matchday squad of 18 must include a "club developed player", or else you can only name 6 subs. The definition is of someone who spent 12 months at the club before their Under-19 season ended. There is a vaguely word...
