Re: Car Park Renewals

I've lost count of the number of lives I've saved by not running people over who run across the access roads without noticing if a car is coming. This happens whether I'm there one hour or one minute before KO.

Re: Car Park Renewals

On a slightly different topic, I was talking with a West Ham fan at the weekend (ST holder, been going for years, takes his children etc) and he said that since moving to the t=Taxpayer Stadium, their fans are treated appallingly. He feels more like a customer than a fan. What the people running foo...

Re: Car Park Renewals

Kes is right.

Wembley stadium is built in a heavily built-up area. The car parks do not cause any congestion.

Re: Car Park Renewals

I have a season ticket, as does my son. I travel in from Essex and pick my son up from Ealing. The only way I can sensibly get to the ground is by car, which is why I bought a car park season ticket. I have often got to evening games just before the game kicks off. The main hold-ups for me are on th...

Shelvy was neutralised against us, as was Gayle for the short time he was on.

Re: Stewards - "siiiiit down!!!"

The law states that PL and Champ clubs must provide seating , not that spectators must sit in them. Each individual club can make their own rules re spectators having to sit, but this is then a civil rather than a criminal matter. Are you absolutely sure about that - persistent standing is an offen...

Re: Stewards - "siiiiit down!!!"

I'm 65 years old, middle-class and generally calm in my way of living. When I go to games, I prefer to sit in my seat and watch. However, I stand up when the teams come onto the pitch, which is, I suppose, just doing what everyone else does. The times when I involuntarily stand up are: When we score...

So, GR (by which I assume you mean GetReading say it's off? They've hidden it well, then, cos it's not obvious, at least I can't find it.

If you insist on posting 'Alternative Facts' at least make them traceable.

I'd look and see who said the deal was off. He also said we'd equalised against Huddersfield.

Re: BFTG - Brentford

If we look at the last six games, we have taken 14 points from 18 - the same as Newcastle and Brighton. Huddersfield took 15 points from their last 18. Things aren't looking too bad, in my opinion.

Re: BFTG - Barnsley home

Just out of idle interest, was everybody at the same match? You have to wonder sometimes. I saw no lack of passion from our players yesterday that some report (although I have seen a lack of passion in some previous matches!). I have not been that impressed with Blackett this season but he played v...

Re: BFTG - Barnsley home

The Barnsley defence was extremely well organised and a lot of our 'negative' passing game was forced because we just couldn't find a way through. Add to this a general lack of passion in the team, and from very early on in the game, it was clear that it had 0-0 written all over it. As for the subs,...

Re: Promotion: Yea or Nay

We were desperately unlucky against Newcastle, Brentford and Fulham. If we'd have won those games, as we should have, we'd be top now (and also in the 4th round of the FA cup and in the SF of the League cup). Our abysmal luck has to change soon!!

Re: Promotion: Yea or Nay

I think we will go up this year. I've seen a steady improvement in the way the team plays using the current system, from AFC Wimbledon to now. We shouldn't be discouraged by the comprehensive defeats against Arsenal and United, we will struggle against these teams next season as well, and they won't...

Re: BFTG - United (A)

I only saw it on TV. While they were waiting in the tunnel before coming on, the whole team looked incredibly nervous. This was evident for the first half, at least the first 20 minutes. After that, we played a bit better at times in the first half. Evans was good, as was Kelly, and AAH made a few g...
