Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Delighted the club have finalised this. Had a few clubs after him, good age, willing to learn and has qualities a captain possesses. Good eye for goal when at Barnet too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NzrXzp9z66o Although that eye for goal appeared to have deserted him at Barnsley where he failed t...

Re: RUMOUR - Andy Yiadom

A right back? Does this mean the club is going to take a gamble on whether Obita will regain his form and recover from his injury in time for next season or whether Richards will make the grade? That's one hell of a gamble as left back is a real problem position for us. Also think it means Gunter ma...

Re: Gourlay

In my view we need a wealthy foreign owner from a country we have barely heard of who has made money from numerous legally questionable business deals. Once that person is installed they need a gimmick for the fans, some sort of hand or arm gesture possibly, to get everyone on side.

Re: BFTT Cardiff

We were mediocre at best. However, it was first, an improvement and second, enough. Vague sense that the defensive job in the midfield was enough but no one further up the pitch were doing anything but heavy running against a pretty solid backline. Job done, I guess. We were set up to play defensiv...

Re: What is the point in Chris Martin?

I was at the Derby v Bolton game at the weekend, sat with Derby supporters, they told me stories of the Clement shagging his missus story and that Reading can keep him, he has no future anywhere it seems. Ive got friends who are Derby sth and they all say that shagging Martin's wife was the reason ...

Re: Recreating Elm Park atmosphere

Yeah, yeah....it gets wheeled out everytime...and is nearly true (despite having to step-up a foot to be be able to step onto the top step of the Southbank terracing of course) Any ‘original’ and actually-true analogies would be nice tho? Although the top step of the South Bank terracing would not ...

As a previous poster has already alluded, you could never replicate the atmosphere of Elm Park at the Madejski Stadium without first flooding the concourses with urine.

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

I'll be delighted if it is. I think people are underestimating what Clement has achieved for some of the world's biggest clubs, most importantly, coaching a similar playing style to our own. #WelcomePaul Exactly how much style coaching do the likes of Ronaldo need? Not exactly champ plodders on a w...

When was the last time a player responded to the sacking of a manager by saying 'good riddance?' It's just PR.

Re: Stam Gone

To me the biggest mistake Stam made was not replacing Obita like for like. Left back is such an important position in the scheme of things and the non-replacement of Obita has been a running sore, painfully obvious. Bit concerned about the reports of Clement's negative football, particularly at a ti...

Re: Stam Gone

No Brian McDermott on that list? - If he was fired up for it (after being sacked the last time), I reckon he could get the best out of the players between now and the end of the season but I would question his sanity if he came back again I'd question your sanity for making ridiculous suggestions l...
