Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

If it's correct that he would get bullied in league one etc then surely sending him out to a so-called soft league in Holland or Belgium is counter intuitive.

A more likely solution would be to lock him a room with a raw steak and medicine ball and have him wrestle a grizzly bear for a few days.

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

Norfolk Royal would know better as he was at the game but it looked to me as though the two right full-backs actually both played at right-back, presumably to negate the known attacking ability of Norwich from left-back. At times Yiadom seemed to move further across to between what would have been ...

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

love the pic from the Norwich game of Walker and Gunter. Two fringe players who could feel aggrieved but instead wildly celebrating. Barrow, Baker on the pitch as well. Dunno how he has done it but he has certainly created a great spirit, while also managing to get rid of a number of seemingly popu...

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

Just read the player ratings in the local Eastern Daily Press up here. Moore got a 6 - 'baffled by Pukki movement' and Miazga also a 6 - 'struggled on the floor.' Most of our other players got a 7. While their captain Zimmerman, who admittedly had a good game and scored a goal but had little defendi...

Re: BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

Gomes' tactics Spot on it seems. 5 at the back, a pacey and a strong player up front who caused them havoc when they had the chance. At 2-2 we hand it to him as a brilliant stroke of genius. BUT at 2-1 I was cursing him for doing the same old bullshit of trying to hold onto 1-0. How many times have...

NewCorkSeth
windermereROYAL Martinez was nowhere near the one that hit the post.

He was on the replay from behind the posts. If it was on target his hand was where the ball would have been.

I assumed he must have touched it because the ref gave a corner did he not?

BFTG - The miracle of Carrow Road.

The sort of game where you go through every emotion. At 80 mins I really thought we were going to hang onto the one-nil. But you always felt that if Norwich upped a gear they could run in a couple of goals in short time as they have done so many times this season, and so it proved. I twitched when t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a) sponsored by James Harper

Dreading it if I`m honest, I can only imagine you describing a heavy defeat. Well, I'm planning to stay for the whole game tonight whatever happens rather than leave at 5-0 down as I did a few seasons ago. As a concept, that didn't work. Have been in your position a number of times over the years w...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a) sponsored by James Harper

CountryRoyal Norwich aren’t top because of one player. Pukki will still score a hat full.

I'm aware of that of course. I was making the point that losing their best/most influential player may help our cause.

Plenty of my Norwich supporting pals worried about losing Buendia as he dictates the tempo of their play. Chink of light?

Re: The League of 4

Norwich easily stuffing QPR, 3-0 up at half time - so that’ll be something to look forward on Wednesday then. Indeed. They could have had seven in the first half. One small crumb of comfort though. Buendia who has been their best player this season and is Premiership quality, was sent off today, so...

Re: Reading appoint Mark Bowen on short term contract as technical consultant

Was well liked by the fans when he was playing at Norwich, always gave 100 per cent and no little skill. Scored a few crucial goals as well. Like the sound of this although I have no idea what a technical director is.

Whatever anyone thinks of the worth or otherwise of local reporting of RFC it should be acknowledged I think that its a tough time for that particular industry and through no fault of the people who work in it in the main.

Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

It's OK keep saying that X or Y player will be back after the international break but last time I heard most of the injury list were in intensive care on a life glug.

Does anyone have any information about whether any of the injured are actually in training?

Re: Reading FC Womens World

I've not seen a lot of the current women's team but has anyone else had the thought that someone like Fran Kirby (know she's gone) would probably be able to do a job for us up front as we're so short for the men's team? Views?
