Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Look at the stats, it was easy as it comes. Just because they didn't take their chances it doesn't mean they weren't extremely comfortable. Maybe try a new sport, football isn't for you. Having watched most of the game and seen their goal that only just crossed the line, I'd say it was anything but...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

BR0B0T bonjour!

You'll have to explain how that irrefutably supports the idea that one team is luckier than another I'm afraid, it means nothing to me!

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Poor old sandman, he must have had a terrible time this season It's not luck when otherwise decent keepers drop clangers, it's a result of being put under massive amounts of pressure. Was it Jack Nicklaus that said "the more I practice the luckier I get"? Gary Player, although I'm not sur...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Biggest slice of luck in the title race, IMO, was Kompany not getting sent off when hacking down Salah when pretty much clean through.

That could've meant a 6 point swing.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

You could say the entire season hinged on two shots that hit the post differently the game between City and Liverpool at the etihad, City's hit the post and went in, Liverpool's hit the post and came out (also somehow missing the incoming Salah) Neither team were lucky to finish where they did, but...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

if you can provide the test that proves this we can discuss otherwise speculation I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of stats out there to back it up. I'm certainly not going to bother hunting them out though! Look at Reading's successful sides, or perhaps United for something a bit closer...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Gomez i'll give you but AOC and Lallana would be debatable Oxlade-Chamberlain was probably Liverpool's best attacking midfielder when he got injured. I'm pretty sure he would've been a big player for Liverpool this season if injury hadn't ruled him out. Lallana's injury problems go a bit further ba...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

There's still a decent squad in there somewhere, but there looks to be some bad apples in there that's destroyed their previously very strong mentality (perhaps it's the Fergie effect, or lack of it). They could turn things around pretty quickly with the money they have to invest but it looks more l...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I think they might want another CB, VVD can probably do it all on his own but a bit of help wouldn't go amiss Always the risk of getting injured as well. Liverpool were pretty lucky with injuries this season You mean apart from losing Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana for effectively the whole ...

I think they might want another CB, VVD can probably do it all on his own but a bit of help wouldn't go amiss Always the risk of getting injured as well. If they ship out Lovren then I could see another centre back coming in, but with Gomez back that's the first choice pairing sorted, and I could s...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Ridiculously good season for Liverpool, which isn't over yet, and I can only see them improving the squad to try again next year. The good thing for Liverpool is the age of their squad, and their key players. There's great scope for improvement if they can keep the mentality, momentum and the inten...

Re: The Non - League thread

New manager is Sam Lock. From what I can make out Sam was assistant at Maidenhead and had previously played for Wycombe and Reading’s academies before injury got to him. Bracknell have also appointed Michael Butcher as assistant manager and Aaron Steadman is the 1st team coach. In addition they’ve ...

Don't forget he'd also have done one or two "awareness" courses in the last three years to get those speeding points. All collected while he's been driving in the UK while zipping across the Atlantic on a regular basis. Those courses are optional to avoid points. Something tells me David ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Liverpool's winner was brilliant. Actually, if TAA just noted Barcelona were snoozing and Origi's position, then it was brilliant. If that was a deliberate fake as he walked away, it's quite extraordinary. TAA and Klopp afterwards both seemed to suggest it was just a spur of the moment thing as he ...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Interesting that you included Lindgard in your list of not good enoughs-I have never seen why he has been selected so often for club and country and, although a completely different type of player,is IMHO in the same category as Eric Dier. I'm no fan of Lingard but, like quite a few of that United ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

All valid, on Suarez it was interesting, having been a defender of his antics when he was at Anfield, to see that maybe everyone was right all along and he is indeed a horrible pcunt  He's the perfect example of a player you love to have on your side, but hate if he isn't. Such a talented play...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

It's not sour grapes (honest) but is VAR used or not? When Mane was shoved over by Pique early doors it was probably 50/50 in the old days whether a pen would be given but with VAR it's almost a certain pen. Yet it wasn't even reviewed last night as far as I can tell Equally Mane was lucky that the...

You're right, the plans were always to move to Ranelagh but I was always under the impression Larges Lane would be sold to developers. This is what I was thinking of: https://www.footballinbracknell.co.uk/news/club-news/30948/bracknell-town-unveil-ambitious-plans-larges-lane-ranelagh-school/ Perhap...
