Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

It would be interesting to see Sean Dyche go to Everton to see if he can replicate all his good work with Burnley on a bigger stage with the supposedly better players and higher expectations that go with it. Judging from the little I've read about Everton, I hope he doesn't because it looks like a ...

I believe that's the same player who got done for spitting a couple of years ago too.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I didn't watch the game or the post-match analysis yesterday but having seen the goals this morning it does look like just more of the same for Liverpool. As much as I think van Dijk would probably improve things a bit I still maintain it's more about the setup and mentality than the individuals inv...

Re: FIFA U17 World Cup

England will be without Jadan Sancho for this afternoons game as Dortmund have called him back to Germany (I think there was some agreement that they could call him back after the group games) instead of letting him play in the rest of the tournament. Seems a bit naughty of them if you ask me...I kn...

Re: FIFA U17 World Cup

Another win for England and they've qualified for the last 16.

3-0 against Mexico but had to cling on at the end to win 3-2.

Re: World Cup 2018

These last few games kind of highlight why Hodgson was so keen to take the gamble on Jack Wilshire too.

How England could do with him fit and in form (and Barkley and Lallana for that matter).

Re: World Cup 2018

What a complete load of old tosh. It is the FA's fault for putting Southgate in that position when he is neither qualified or suitable for the job. Southgate needs to go immediately and be replaced with a manager who is a motivator of people. Sticking up for Southgate is laughable. I quite like a l...

Re: World Cup 2018

Wasn't watching it too closely but it wasn't that bad and the job was done It's never easy against a team that sits back. We'll be better when we get to a knockout stage! Rashford looked good. Kane although he scored not at his best It was pretty poor, yet again, but I'm not sure we can expect too ...

Those sides being peoples second side is probably in part due to the number of Englishmen playing in them!

Re: The Non - League thread

Sounds like Bracknell going for 2nd then, which hopefully will be enough this season. Looks like they have their mojo back so could still chase Highworth. Early days still.. It's Highworth's to lose now, but there will still be twists and turns, especially with the games remaining between those top...

Re: Republic of Ireland

Liam Brady being the obvious omission there. A few of those are world class. I wonder what happened? If most of those players were playing now they'd probably only be at mid-table Premier League sides. With all the Premier League money floating around our club sides have the pick of pretty much any...

Re: Republic of Ireland

So there's at least another 7 players vying for his position? Of those 7 players, I'd say McCarthy, Meyler, Arter and Hendrick are ahead of him, Hoolihan is possibly ahead of him and he's on par with O'Kane. Personally, despite how under-rated Hoolahan was, he's 35 and not going to add much to the ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Thatcham 1-2 Highworth - was at this : big crowd too around 180 odd - Highworth were far better all over the park and their big no 9 Aysa Corrick would be a threat at the level above:- big strong and very quick - tore holes through the 'Kingfisher' back line all evening and was well supported. Scor...

Re: The Non - League thread

Agreed but Highworth haven't dropped a point yet, have already stuffed Flackwell at Flackwell and played a shed load of away games but with promotion being about getting a high PPG ratio the Hellenic Premier might be a league that sees 2 or 3 of its sides promoted. It's obviously a cracking start, ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Highworth Town looking like they've got the Hellenic Premier more or less sewn up already. Certainly looks like it's going to be a case of theirs to lose. People had been saying the same about Bracknell not too long ago. The games between Highworth, Thatcham and Bracknell are all yet to come and th...
