Re: Best/Worst Pundit

That won't prevent time wasting, it will just mean it will allow teams to make a game more and more stop start if they think it's to their advantage.

Football is a fluid game and that'll just ruin the flow of a game.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I totally agree BR0B0T, and it's the point that Carragher was trying to get over to Redknapp the other day after whatever game it was. The way Liverpool are set up exposes the back four too much. It makes them great to watch, and great going forwards, but it really does mean that a decent defender ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Another 3G pitch. They are starting to become a bit of a plague. I was initially all for the idea, but having seen half a dozen games on the surface now, I don't like them. The ball bounces dead, it doesn't look very nice and I think it gives an unfair home advantage. Not seen the stats to back thi...

Re: England - the future....

Nobody have anything to say about Rooney's retirement? Personally I think he could play a while longer for England but it must get to you eventually when all you get is stick I think it's probably a wise choice for Rooney, and I wonder if Southgate gave him the chance to do it on his terms as a rew...

Dangerous yes, but not so much reckless, but relatively cynical IMO. He was trying make contact with the player and it looked like he'd just lost his head after an incident in or around the Everton box which then led to Walkers first booking just a minute of so before. That context probably goes som...

Re: The generic transfer thread

£118M according to 'sources' on twitter. That's a lot of money for a player who no longer wants to be at Liverpool. I think they should have cashed it in for a new keeper and 2 CBs Indeed, if there's one thing Liverpool have shown in their opening games, it's that scoring and creating opportunities...

Re: The Non - League thread

So, how long before the whole Billericay Town thing goes spectacularly wrong? Did a bit of Due Dil on the owner for the fun of it a few months back and it doesn't paint a pretty picture I can tell you. Looks like this is all just one big 'look at me'. In what way? I've only heard his name and read ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

I don't disagree - but it's a big leap for the sake of 15 CL games a season. They are already the best side in France (Monaco's one-off not withstanding). Maybe so, but what's he got to gain by staying at Barca and always playing second fiddle to Messi (and potentially Suarez). The CL is where repu...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Imagine leaving a club like Barcelona because they have better players than you and you want to be the main man, only to go the French League  Certainly reveals the greedy players. There's no case to be made for Neymar going there other than purely for money. There is a case, in that he wants ...

Re: CheLOLsea

I'm a bit of a football romantic - I imagine were I a player I'd want to play for my local side - or certainly if I'd established myself somewhere after somewhat of a breakthrough season, I'd want to become synonymous with that club. I guess for Hector he's happy with a season in Frankfurt and one ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

I quite liked watching Norwood play, especially his early days when he was a refreshing change to the type of midfield play we'd seen for some time. He was like a poor-mans Simon Osborn but didn't quite have the end product.

A decent player and always seemed like a good lad too.

Re: The Non - League thread

Talent wise I doubt there will be any stronger squad in the Hellenic but 75% of the starters will be teenagers and as we know, you win nowt with kids. That's an interesting and bold statement RR. Why do you think they're that good, and how do you define talented? There's lots of players with a good...

Hull set to sign Kevin Stewart for £8m from Liverpool. Who the fcuk is Kevin Stewart? I am starting to wonder if many of these transfers are not just money laundering right in front of our eyes. no one has heard of the players yet all internet spods instantly claim he is decent so as to look itk. a...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Chalobah signs for Watford in a five year for a fee in the region of £5m. I hope there is a buy back clause in the contract. R8 him. Not a fan to be honest. Obviously a talented lad, but he's far too inconsistent and looks to me like he just can't be bothered at times (based a lot on his games for ...
