Re: Clement

Yeah, all the ‘fair enoughs’ have littered this place in recent times. Oh, and ‘doing a runner’, too. Not nearly enough ‘Sorry, I was wrong. Excellent point and well said, I didn’t know that. My apologies, I was wrong’. Anyhooo, so many people have been called psycho in pro footy I’ve lost count. Ju...

Re: Clement

Roy Keane would belie the notion there isn’t any manager in world that could do anything with this lot. (Oh, and nor could all of Pep, Sir Alex, etc, combined). Keane would divide fan base and be painful for some, esp if he came in and did well. Im not entirely sure what you are saying? A decent ma...

Re: Teams to be Relegated 18-19

Us - we played better in the first few games and were unlucky (/making stupid mistakes), then played worse but got some results (+ 1 false dawn good win vs Hull), and now are playing badly and getting what we deserve. Can see the atmosphere getting very toxic if we don't win the home games against ...

Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

na you're alright. I'd give 100% but I'd still take Swift or Bacuna over me. Not to mention he was a walking red card. I've already shown once that he wasn't even remotely a walking red card. +1 I am always amazed to see people say this about JVDB, he got 1 red card for us, and 19 yellows. In a 65 ...

Re: This season v last season

I am not sure if it has been mentioned on another thread but after the draw on Saturday RFC have a slightly better record this season (by goal difference) as compared to the first 10 games of last season under Stam. Last time - Won 2 Drew 3 Lost 5 For 9 Against 12 (-3) This season - Won 2 Drew 3 Lo...

Re: BFTG Brentford away

He just had a decent run on Moore and he was stationary due to being on the line. So he went through him, no real foul. A little annoyed at for the 1st, watching on the replays it is such a poor goal to concede. I would say the entire back 4 has a share of blame. I just couldn't work out how you co...

Re: BFTG Brentford away

Didn’t rate Walker late on. Low cross in from right, he dives and misses it (gathering would have been nice). Defender scrambles it away for a corner (from which they score). Corner comes in, starts to go for it, changes mind, doesn’t get there, no mans land, leaves goal exposed, they score. May hav...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by one pub on each corner

Good game to watch. Difficult if you need to score 3 away from home to win. Take a point, but threw 2 away by conceding poor goal in injury time. Walker nervy, spilled a few, at the corner at end he started to come for the ball, didn't get there, left goal exposed. Surprised Meite started, but put i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by one pub on each corner

So Gunter clearly not at fault then. I thought Gunter could have done better. If some think he couldn't, that's fine. If that means it's 'very harsh' and I'm blaming him or saying it's his fault, so be it. Anyway, he just passed from the edge of their box back to the edge of our's... Sorry Denver, ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by one pub on each corner

Re.the goal...Ilori fails to cut out the cross/pass from the right, he goes to ground and misses it, allowing his man, Maupay, to get free and shoot for the goal. Gunter should then have done better, failed to react, and was caught napping at the far post... Just gone back and slo-mo'd the goal. Ve...

Maidenhead starting to get some results. Who are their best players/keep an eye on? Sadly out of touch there, which is shameful, used to be regular, home and away, juggled Urz etc.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by one pub on each corner

One place they looked very dodgy to me when I watched their game against Ipswich was set pieces I’d be confident of getting a goal from a Bacuna free kick/corner Obvs a lot less confident about stopping them scoring a couple from open play. I agree Nice, can stop posting and close my account now I’...

Re: On this day

I think we lost 4-0 to Swindon Town away from home on this day in 1987. I remember that game and being caged in alongside their fans. It was only later that we got the upper tier opposite. Unless we can maintain the spirit and application shown on Saturday I fear that we will be playing them again ...

Re: Club developed players

Luckily I think most of the young centrebacks we have coming through will turn out to be better than Cooper. Not as tall maybe but without the tendency to throw in a big error each game. Osho and McIntyre in particular are way better footballers than Cooper at this stage. TBF Every single player on...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Cracking start for him at the higher level. Yep but I really do get the feeling we will never see him in a Reading shirt again. I fear you're right. Yep, me too. Unlikely to get 4 year deal, a la McNulty. Academy player who's done well abroad (and with US team) leaves having barely sniffed 1st team...
