Re: BFTG Birmingham

Great to see Tyler Blackett starting to play with confidence again, I know he can frustrate people but on his day he can be a top player for us. Given time hopefully Paul Clement and his coaches can get more consistency from him. Yep, agreed. To coin a phrase...‘There’s a player in there somewhere!...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

If you can improve a side, even a position of strength, you do it, regardless of how well you feel you have played. (And that's from someone who, unlike some, has maintained that McShane has played well the first 2 games). Derby and Forest were good opportunities, and it may have been as good a time...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Was interesting to see Grealish play again even after all the speculation over him, where as Moore was no where near the 1st team. Yep, and according to our ownership, Moore was never going to be sold at any price anyway. Bruce, however, said they were waiting for the right offer for Grealish (whic...

Re: Rival Watch

Leeds are a very good side, think they are the real deal this season, they got the right manager. He only arrived there less than 2 months ago. Doesn't seem like he's on some plan that takes years to build things and implement his style/system, etc. (Leeds haven't made the playoffs in more than a d...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

This squad isn't good enough. Going to take time to improve it. Safely in mid table would an improvement. 7m wasted on Aluko. Better to have a long term plan. Changing managers frequently isn't the solution either. Not thinking about a playoff final this year then, LW? Mind you, in Clements' 10 gam...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

We’ve had a tough start against two promotion contenders If we start losing games against the weaker sides then I will be concerned. Well, bottom is bottom, no matter who we've played. And tbh, we don't really know how good Derby or Forest will be at this point. Forest have played 3 games and hadn'...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

Usual problem. Doing ok until we concede, then it's pretty much game over. Actually had a real go after conceding today. Worked hard, didn't deserve to lose, and ref gave us nothing. McShane and Ilori did well today. Just need a striker and a creative midfielder  Big game next Sat against Bol...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

Bacuna now on for Meyler, who looked slow, ineffective, and lacked mobility. When Forest broke in to the box for the goal, he was badly done for pace, and it cost us. Not a great day for our two signings, Baldock and Meyler.

Richards on for Blackett, 8 mins left.

Re: Forest (A) match thread

Baldock subbed off early (58th min). Like last week, he did nothing. (Only played 2 league games all last season, too)

Re: Forest (A) match thread

As the away team, we've played ok I think. We don't look as organised as last week (prolly due to new formation). Forest have looked disjointed too, with all their signings. Problem is up front, where we look pedestrian. Their keeper has made one save (I think). Tbf, we haven't created much either. ...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Is anyone managing to get the broadcast on iFollow? I just get a slate screen .... Nor working for me either. Heard a refund is on the way. Yeah, that'll be enough for a pint in the White Horse.... if it ever materialises. It's really disgraceful. First iFollow game of season (Derby was on S...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

Think that Aluko has a knock, Clement has played him consistently, and he had one of his best games last week.

Don't get me started on Moore. Here we are, paying his salary, and he continues to miss games...even tho he was (allegedly) never going to leave in the first place.

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Agreed - as always in these situations, something doesn't add up. If he was never for sale at any price, why was he left out and why did Clement say it would have been "unfair to him (and the other club)" to play him v Derby ? Or did the Dais just flatter Moore's ego to restore his desire...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Get over it. Why would any player want to stay in this current Reading setup when we have zero ambition to reach the premier league? If there was any doubt before the transfer window about the clubs intentions, that's been put to bed with the huge lack of investment in our squad while the genuine p...

Re: RUMOUR - Marcus Maddison

Forgive me if I'm wrong but surely you can't start a bidding war when the player has a release clause (rumoured to be £2.5m). The only way we can be outdone is on wages, but then the player might prefer the prospect of more regular football at Reading over a few extra thousand pounds a week. Any re...

Re: Rumour Kortney Hause

Forget Maddison. Their owner confirmed we were interested but baulked at the players wage demands. We're out and haven't been back in since. His wage demands prb goes someway to explain that despite the supposed huge interest in him from championship clubs (as stated by Boro and Chairman)..no deal ...
