Re: Nigel Howe appointed new CEO

My only experience of dealing with him was negative. They say you should not go back. Don't think he cares about long serving fans. Sorry just my experience.

Re: Who goes in January?

Judging the kind of wages we are paying I would imagine a few going off on loan only. Aluko to Brentford at a cut price fee perhaps??

Re: Clement's week on a beach in Dubai last week

I wonder how he enjoyed his week in Dubai whilst the rest of the squad, sports scientists, coaches etc were hard at work at Hogwood during the current international break? Back today I believe to a not very wholesome reaction. Dressing room lost. Not doubt considering what to spend the remaining 2½...

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Clement hanging on by the skin of his teeth I reckon. I like his honesty. Unlike Stam is totally upfront about the team's performance. Calling the first half performance embarrassing live on radio was spot on. Sending a clear message to some of the players. Yes agree with his honesty but that can o...

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Based on the game today and with the return of McCleary, I would be tempted to bring Gunter back in the side and give Yiadom a rest, allow the Gunter - McCleary partnership to be reforged, also agree about O'Shea, I think we're asking too much of a 37 year old defender, Ilori while not perfect has ...

Re: Whats wrong with our training???

tell me the mean number* of injuries throughout the league and what standard deviation RFC is from it if you don't know it, you shouldn't really be commenting as you're guessing Stats are fine of course but having watched Reading for 56 years just don't remember so many injuries. I understand we st...

Re: Whats wrong with our training???

Yet more injuries injury this time to Jaakkola & Yiadom. I make that 12 players injured since the beginning of this season. You would normally expect 2/3. What on earth is happening. An ex-pro I spoke to said this is what happens when there is unrest and the team's playing badly. Its probably a...

Re: Whats wrong with our training???

Ok cheers. An ex-pro I spoke to said this is what happens when there is unrest and the team's playing badly. Its probably and perhaps over training I don't understand the correlation? If they're unhappy does that make them not stretch off properly or fall over and hurt themselves? It was explained ...

Re: Whats wrong with our training???

Mate I don't need spirits to talk utter shit, everyone knows that. But this is honestly what I've heard and those who know me on HNA know whilst I talk shit I never make up rumours. No idea how relevant this is just thought I'd throw it in here. Second that about plastic surgeons. My wife worked in...

Looks like thewy were produced in limited quantities. Across the divisions many clubs have sold out.

Great idea.

Re: Worst RFC manager, statistically, after 23 league games.

I think the big question is are we a better team now than when Clements started? After the equivalent of half a season we should be seeing his ideas come to some fruition. For me we have gone backwards.

Re: David Meyler - Reading's biggest ever mercenary?

Brought in to solve our midfield problems by adding a bit of steel to the centre. Turned out he can't pass, run, or tackle. If he plays another game for us it'll be too soon. And our current midfield can? Swift can't pass, he certainly can't run and he certainly certainly can not tackle. Same appli...

Defence, what defence?

Football is a simple game. We concede a lot of goals. Our centre halves are no good at heading. Moore because he is too small and Ilori because he is too weak.

Re: Bust up between Clement and Barrow

If he has breached discipline he should be dropped It’s how he responds to that now. Either he sulks and goes in Jan or gets his head down and contributes We could have done with him yesterday from the bench Clement wasn't picking him way before this breach of discipline. They seem to dislike each ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a) sponsored by Nigel Adkins last game

If we took out the mistakes we played well. Trouble is we made so many simple mistakes. How can we give away a corner like we did. How can Ilori get muscled off the ball so easily ? how can we not complete our passes so often? We just seemed far too confident and casual!

Academy - is it worth it?

Reading seem to be ploughing all their hopes and investment into the Academy for its future but is this necessarily the best place for any money we have? Since out Category 1 status in 2013 how many players have we produced that are Championship standard?? We ofter hear we have fantastic talent but ...

Bust up between Clement and Barrow

Being reported that the two have come to loggerheads once again, allegedly due to his attitude. Not the best time to have this. He's already got rid of him once at Swansea. Shame because he is one of our best players
