Re: BFTG West Brom

Seen the highlights - when did we suddnely become so crap at defending corners? Looks like we played superbly first half. Just shows how much of a mental issue it is with the side. The quality is obviously there, the mentality is awful Football a simple game. We need a centre half than can win head...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

I've recently come to appreciate Coppell in a whole new light. On top of all of his other wonderful achievements and traits, when he bought an expensive waste of space, he stuck them straight in the reserves to rot and got shot asap. Fae, Halford. oxf*rd off, bye bye. These days, we keep playing th...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

I think he has been so bad that that he must be good. There must be a problem somewhere as they say ' form is temporary, talent is permanent'. He was really good at Fulham.

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Shouldn't Clements have already learned from his mistakes at Swansea and less so Derby. He's there to solve problems not just own up to them. Its getting to the stage where we should be looking at some progress from last year by now. Sadly we seem to be going backwards.

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Another awful performance at home. Another opportunity to win a game of football against a beatable team wasted. How Aluko was selected for the game, I just don't really understand it. Clement explained that players were cramping up on Saturday at Griffin Park so he decided to make some changes, ro...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by Andy Hughes

Saturday was arguably a 3/10 from Gunter though, errors all over the show. You're right about Sims, he should be in for Aluko for sure. He made a real difference on Saturday. Really do not get a right side comprising Aluko and Gunter. Defensively that's just non existent at best. I get the feeling ...

Re: Do we really have billionaire owners?

Like many I suspect I was disappointed by the level of spending on transfers this season. The cost of relegation to Div 1 I guess would be substantial in the long term. The question is therefore why wasn't more money made available to Clements to bring in a couple of good strikers including a decent...

Re: Do we really have billionaire owners?

perhaps we have money to spend but the right player didn't turn up that we considered value for money. we all want a 15 to 20 goal a season striker, but they ain't cheap, probably looking at 10 to 15 mill. and would a striker of that caliber want to come to a club that avoided the drop by the skin ...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

Haven't read the thread in detail but the initial criticism of Swift seems odd to me. His touch and skill on the ball is a class above. Always seemed to beat his man, and was where most of our attacks came through. My man of the match. Good free kick too. Plus one on that. I think he was only slow ...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

Thought Macshane definitely responsible for giving away their goal. Clement says he going to drop a bombshell for next game. Can only see it as Illori back in and Moore to be new captain. Poor performance but one we should not have lost. Time to stop persisting with Kelly who adds nothing to the tea...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

The club should be doing all they can to push Moore out now that he has put in the request. Get him out and invest some of that money in players who want to be here. I see it like this too. If he does not want to play for the club any longer let’s move him on. Think thats a bit unfair on Moore. He ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

I am generally an optimist, but I’m surprised to see so much positivity about last night and I can’t relate to it. To me, all last night showed was that we have got into the habit of losing matches, and it is very worrying. Agreed, we played well until we scored the scored the goal, but the collaps...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

First Half, Derby were just like us last season. 200000 passes, no progression and unable to cope with Reading pressing. With a confident, up to speed striker, we could and should have been 1 or 2 up by half time. Second half we didn't keep the pressing up as much, and despite going ahead, allowed ...

Re: Club up for sale again?

Tim said on BBC Berks that a well placed source within the club told him that the owners looked to sell the club last December. That is all that was said. However if that is true then it would rather suggest that while the current owners are supportive of the club and will back the management, they...

Bodvarsson is tiny eh?

Do you really want him leading our attack. Didn't we try that last season??
