Re: Record Watch 2018/19

Premier League -Tottenham, Bournemouth ( ), Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Man City, Watford, Chelsea
Championship - just dirty Leeds
League One - Peterborough & Portsmouth
League Two - none at all already

Quite good to see the back of Man Utd. They looked to have the easiest start.

Re: Record Watch 2018/19

I always look for teams who are 'chucked in' for the 106. Like Newcastle have been a couple of times. Sunderland, the team we took the record off, look the only team completely out of sink atm. Them and Man City look like big fish in a toddler pond, but Sunderland haven't started as well as I'd exp...

Re: Record Watch 2018/19

13 wins
Obviously too early for the Premier League
Championship - only Swansea left, plus maybe Leeds or Derby
League One - Barnsley, Doncaster, Peterborough, Gillingham & Portsmouth
League Two - Exeter, Lincoln and the Franchisees

Your comment was the mildest. Still you should ask why Mick Gooding made him MoM Mick Gooding is one of the biggest talkers of shite I've ever had to listen to. Last night he wouldn't shut up about Swift "not closing players down" which was usually followed up by Swift being in a perfect ...

Record Watch 2018/19

Rather than get depressed with the potential results on the field I thought I'd start worrying about the two records a little earlier than normal. At least two weeks until we can hang onto the 13 wins At least October before we can hang onto the 106 - and that's if there's an unprecedented number of...

OTOH they also pointed out that no team lost more matches than England at the World Cup.

True, but two of those losses were friendlies

Re: World Cup 2018

Why is nobody talking about VAR and the offside decision for the first France goal ?

Umtiti was offside as the free kick was taken and he's the one nudging Mandzucic to cause the own goal.

I thought VAR was to used to check ALL goals

Weird episode this only in that at no point has he been 'sacked' or agreed to 'leave by mutual consent', or 'resigned'. It's just dragged on forever, Sarri is as good as confirmed on his way and now Conte has 'left the club'. I heard a story a while back that Chelsea were essentially looking into h...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Financial matters - Birmingham's holding company Trillion Trophy Asia are the club's new main sponsor, which means their ground is to be named The St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium, which is nearly as catchy as the newly named Trillion Trophy Training Centre. :) Reminds me that I need to watch 'T...

Not the sort of player that will help us get promoted, more someone you turn out for Carabao Cup games.

You could have said the same about :
John Oster
Chris Makin
Stephen Hunt (when we signed him)

The final day of the Prem season will be exciting. Tottenham can still finish second (if Utd lose tonight) Liverpool can finish third Chelsea can still make the top four None of which will happen of course Of the top 9 only four positions are realistically up for grabs (3/4 and 8/9) However, I stil...
