Re: Stam's comments - only a matter of time now

oxf*rd me, he needs to work on his interview technique. He's not helping the club or himself with this shit. Anyone who has spent time around Dutch people will tell you that they can be very blunt, which can often come across as rude to us Brits who are used to understatement and discreet euphemism...

Good Luck

So the big day has finally arrived. Just wanted to wish you all the safest of journeys and hopefully we'll all be smiling come the evening. It has to be our turn surely?? I will hopefully be watching the final in a bar in Cluj Napoca, if I can find one that is. Failing that, it will have to be the h...

Re: Who is with me?

If we lose the playoffs boycott RFC, boycott chinese takeaways, boycott dutch food, have a protest outside the ground and get a maidenhead united Season ticket? I will be doing this for sure if we don't win. save a few quid and watch some real football with a team that actually wins, not bottles th...

Re: My second team -Reading

I'm just a footballing slut. I've supported Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands since the age of 6 and go to all home games and about 50% of the aways. My first affair started in the early 80's when I moved to Reading. Was persuaded by friends to visit Elm Park and although it wasn't love at first s...

Re: Rumour - Rafael van der Vaart

Does any one actually know what sort of personality he is ? Would he be a 'good influence' or would he turn up for training, decide he didn't fancy the cold and go and sit in the treatment room all day ? Would he spend all his time telling the youngsters about his caps and medals and bugging himsel...

Re: Alfred Finnbogason

I'm really surprised that he's still at Heerenveen. Excellent all round player, good first touch, good in the air and an eye for goal. His goal against Roda last weekend was a pleasure to watch. For older Reading fans, imagine a taking Trevor Senior's goal scoring ability and mixing that with the ef...

Apple syrup and whipped cream is where it's at and after many years of indulging, the flatness of the country doesn't really help with the cycling.

Does that exchange come from misunderstanding english youth lingo? thinking "sick" = bad signing? Otherwise I'm really really confused It's three conversatations. Drenthe and the nobRFCsupporter, Drenthe and one of his homies, and Drenthe and a mystery girl called quessswho. It's still re...

Re: Walcott to Utrecht on loan

It actually looks like he's gone on trial with a view to a perm deal. Artical also suggest that he's available on a free transfer?? He did impress whilst at Telstar last year but I wouldn't think he's ready to play at this level. Basically the coach is saying might be worth a punt. Not entirely sure...
