Re: Michael Owen

Not saying he didn't do well and he did score a lot of goals but was on the bench a fair bit - he would have been better (from an English point of view) staying in the Premiership with one of the top 4 clubs..... At the time, I thought it would be good for his footballing education to play some foo...

Re: Best Premier League player ever?

You could have the whole Cole family of Joe, Ashley, Andy and Carlton and still not match what Giggs has done.

Tommy Lawrence is Les Dawson.
Can't believe that having seen Malcom Moore's wonky fringe that ray Pritchard went to the same barber's a couple of weeks after.
Its no wonder that it took them so long to catch the Yorkshire Ripper, in the 70s every man in the country looked like a rapist's photofit.

Re: Man Utd v Barcelona: Champions League Final (with poll)

what the hell was puyol playing at with those ridiculous dives when his side were comfortably winning 2 - 0? he didnt need to start throwing himself on the floor just because someone touched him. Was that the one where Ronaldo got booked for basically blocking him ahead of going for the ball? Or wa...

Re: Man Utd v Barcelona: Champions League Final (with poll)

I watched the first half on Sky but have come down to the basement where I've only got terrestrial, the ManU love-in has just made me throw up iny mouth a little bit I watched it on Sky until the last 5 mins when I switched over just to hear the utter dejection in Tyldesley's voice. Pathetic of me ...

Yep, a touch of class from Guardiola, noticed that Puyol went round and shock the players hands too before he went off to celebrate with his team.

Re: Did anyone go to the game at Elm Park when there was a fire?

Notts County. Lovell pulled a hamstring straight after the restart. How the fcuk can you remember this? It stuck just in my mind because we'd been saying during the break in play that someone was bound to pull something as all the players had just been stood around not bothering to stretch or keep ...

Barcelona's suspensions and injuries should mean Man United win fairly comfortably. Shame really as a match between them with full strength teams would've been good to see.

Re: Burnley v Sheff Utd - the £60m game

Phil Brown needs a good hard kick in the nads. You'd almost think that as well as managing the team he'd played all 38 games on his own and won every game 20-0. Don't think I heard a single word about his players other than saying some of them were championship players and would be replaced. Orange ...

A big Lolz at Ronnie pretending to have a sulk on Sunday to start the whole bandwagon off again. He'll either be off to Real Madrid with a bigger contract or staying at Man United with a bigger contract. PLolayer power.

Nobody, Fletcher's chopping his left leg at the knee meant he fell over before the sniper could get a clear shot.
