Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Allardyce stopped them from being relegated and they are the 8th best team in the country currently. Who is to say that he wouldn't have brought in flair players this summer to help improve the style of play? Er, pretty much his entire managerial career would suggest he's not about to adopt of free...

Yeah, can't see why a place whose most prominent resident is a bloke with a bad hair transplant who manages to pay off the women he shags behind his wife's back with no comeback would be of interest to Rooney.

Don't mind the Palmeiras shirt, got an England '82 vibe about it. Man City shirt is very bad but at least Liverpool fans can do up their top button for when they have to look smart at a wedding.

Almost like he got to be the Barca mascot cos the player he's stood in front of is his Uncle Miguel.

Did the FA get any public money from the government to build it?

I know its extremely unlikely to happen again but I imagine that's exactly what Barcelona thought in the last round. The second Roma goal last night has at least kept it interesting.

Its no Trevor Morley that's for sure. Given how much everyone was raving about it I'm a bit disappointed. Thought it was going to be a 30 yarder.

Sounds exactly like what we need at the moment. Just give him a contract until the end of the season and decide then what to do long term.

Much as we all love Coppell is he really the quick fix/instant results manager we need until the end of the season?

He comes across as a tool when on the touchline. In interviews after game he is just as irrational and a tosser- but as i've said before the emotions are running high and mangers are all riled up after a game so cant really judge. Nobody wants a robot in charge but I struggle to see how Warnock can...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

How many pundits does it take to say Kane has hurt his ankle and nobody knows how bad it is? Quite a few and a touchline reporter apparently. Still it filled 15mins for them at halftime yesterday. Do you not remember the mass hysteria in the media for Beckham and Rooney's injuries? Nothing new, rea...

No great loss to punditry tbh, his co-commentary in particular is woeful.

I agree with SFers that people really need to stop being pcunts just because they've spotted someone famous but it really didn't take much to provoke Carragher. His reaction is way over the top.

Re: Champz League 17/18

I have a very clear memory of Maradona juggling the ball in the air a number of times using just his shoulder while about to kick off a match during World Cup 1990. For him it was probably a nothing moment but for some reason really struck me as brilliantly mad and I tried it myself for weeks after...

Is it a fan or a Atletico coach that he sparks out with a knee to the head?

I know we're all supposed to hate the hand of god pantomime villan but he was utter skillz. Mental, but utter skillz.
