Re: BFTG - Preston

I've not been able to go to matches for a while so haven't seen Reading play for a while but just curious if everyone agrees that Aluko is a waste of space or are there those who disagree but keep quiet on here? I just find it strange that everyone is so negative about him yet the manager obviously...

Re: BFTG - Preston

Good stuff. Interesting that you say Kelly was quiet as he was getting plaudits for his performance. Gunter probably needs dropping but with Blackett and Obita injured and Richards unconvincing I doubt he will be left out of the side. Bodvarsson was very unlucky not to start today perhaps he will c...

BFTG - Preston

Well that was certainly improved. It was incredible to see desire and a willingness to attack from us. I can't believe the heads didn't drop after their equaliser but they didn't! I know it's awful to critique our team after such an important win but there were a few things that annoyed me. 1. Gunte...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Ron isn't coming out looking golden is he? There were already murmurs of him being challenging to work with. Replacement seems ok I guess.. he should have some contacts in england. I know I say don't go back a lot but isn't Hammond available? Seems the obvious choice no? To replace Gourlay? BT. It'...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Seems to be a lot of stressing going on here. BT sparked a few embers on his way out for sure but I don't blame him. As pointed out it's probably either A: an attempt to pass the blame or B: a way to oxf*rd over a guy he hated working with by whipping the fans (who had already noted the decline unde...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Wonder what McCleary we will see back. He just didnt seem 'right' last season. Never seemed properly fit and was running weirdly Ye, it's been pretty devastating watching his demise. From one of the best players in the division to a complete shadow of his former self. My suspicion is he will have t...

Re: Gourlay

I know, I know. Work man. Horrible invention. Does the Bush guy not post on here? He must have gone. Bushwatch started on here, long before # were a thing. He was then poached by twitter for an undisclosed fee once he gained national notoriety. Makes it even worse if he has turned his back on HNA, ...

Don't you tar me with your odd brush. I am extremely normal.

He is a known enemy of HNA. Thinks we are odd.

Re: Gourlay

So lots of sponsorship lined up for 2019. Can't do anything at the moment as Carabao have restrictions on other things, including a veto on stadium naming. Interesting.. Thais stiffed us there then? Interesting that they are also advertising a sponsorship job right now... Did they sack the person w...

Re: Gourlay

Is the evidence that Clement sees Meite as a forward rather than a winger that he's played him on the wing about as much as he's played him upfront? Yes.. I may have been mistaken looking back and including the pre season games... he did play upfront for most of the friendlies right? I'm not comple...

Re: Gourlay

Meite is a winger. So is Popa. Harriott was fit (but yeah I know...), and McCleary is apparently fit now. That was 5 fit wingers going into the season with one coming back in September I would probably play Meite on the RW but given the evidence Clement sees him as a forward. Popa is clearly not ra...

Re: Gourlay

I actually think the signings this transfer window have been reasonable given rather limited resources .... Clement clearly wasn't given a large war chest and has had to quite a bit of wheeling and dealing to get in players to fill the gaps. And can't really blame him for not getting rid of dross -...

Never. Because I don't have any professional broadcasting experience. Probably the only thing I have in common with those clowns. Lol. I'd love to listen to you, OMA and double d discussing a game. I'm not recording anything with Double D unless it is his execution. See! That's the kind of patter t...

Re: Clement

Just listened to their latest podcast - an absolute embarassment. The guy was trying to talk about what goes through a player's mind in certain game situations! As if he can read Gunter's mind from the stands! oxf*rd me. We've found yet another who simply... has to go. Do they post on here? When ar...

There's a manager ratings poll on The Tilehurst End right now - https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/platform/amp/2018/9/6/17812638/paul-clement-reading-fc-fans-approval-rating-september-2018-championship?__twitter_impression=true Yeah because anything they produce is deeply scientific isn't it? Re: Clement

It takes a few years to build a good football team and Clement needs the time. Clement would be breaking new ground. He's never been anywhere longer than about 6 months? It took Bielsa at Leeds about 1 month? And they haven't even made the playoffs in more than a decade. Did it always take Warnock ...

Re: Clement

We were doing quite well when the majority of those contracts were handed out so there was, at that point, a realistic option of another team coming in to buy them. Hindsight eh? Sorry, not buying that. We did plenty well enough in sales and retaining players before we started dishing out stupid le...
