Re: Blessing in Disguise

Hardly a blessing is it. If we'd gone up we'd have got a season of big bucks plus our parachute money would have restarted the following season which would have lessened the mess behind the scenes. Now we're in big doo-doo until JM manages to agree a deal with someone with at least some solid financ...

Re: Carrico Watch

Oh well it happens, no real loss, 750k to get him in, 750k and he's gone. Just a shame he wasn't fit when we signed him, it might have been so different otherwise.

Re: Kevin Phillips

I see Kevin Phillips has retired today. I'm not one to start threads on GF but I have quite a lot of man love for Phillips. Terrific goalscorer who kept doing it when it mattered all the way up to 40 years of age. Hard to believe I first saw him playing for Watford when he scored a consolation in f...

Re: Will We Do It?

All that has happened before in this season can be forgotten now, it's effectively down to one off games that we have to win. So let's have all Reading fans getting behind whatever team our Nigel puts out as vociferously as possible and being supportive and positive for club for the rest of the seas...

Re: Donny (A) Match Thread sponsored by the Heimlich manoeuv

So next weeks games... Midweek Birmingham v Wigan Saturday lunchtime Reading v Burnley Forest v Brighton Blackburn v Wigan Reading need to win to make the playoffs. A draw would also be sufficient if Brighton don't win and a loss could still mean we make it if Brighton lose by the same amount or wor...

Re: Donny (A) Match Thread sponsored by the Heimlich manoeuv

So if things don't change then we need to beat Burnley by 2 goals next week and hope Brighton don't win at Forest to be sure of the play offs. Any sort of win over Burnley would be enough if Brighton lost. But - as things stand - if both Reading and Brighton win we could still be in the playoffs if...

Anyone know if the penalty was harsh or deserved. Sounds like it was the only way we were going to get a shot on target all game. Now for god's sake push on.

Wonder who'll win between QPR and Wigan. Who is more likely to go into financial meltdown if they lose.

And let's face it, given the way this season has gone, if Reading were to go up  , then it's going to be by the most difficult, scariest and flukiest way possible.
