Re: Derby: back from doing something else

4pts off the bottom 3. No wins in 6. 3 goals conceded in each of the last 3 matches. Apart from the 0-0 draw at Leeds 3 games ago of course. As to the game well it was OK from an attacking perspective, just could get the ball over the line and in the respect is an improvement. Defensively still aby...

Re: An Evening with Brian McDermott, hosted by ReadingFPA

Was he pressed on Keane-gate at all The lack of money really isn't a surprise, think it should be well known by now that the Russian gentleman concerned had nothing more than what was available up front meaning Brian had a hard time getting anything more in other that Championship level players Alwa...

Re: Roy Keane spills the beans on his furious bust-up at Rea

"This time I used physical force. I grabbed a staff member, put his head on a table, and tried to pull his tie off. But he was a Reading staff member, not one of ours"

So does that mean it'd have been OK if it was a Sunderland staff member?

Re: Emergency loan window

Instead of signing someone to protect our shit defence why not sign better defenders? Better to get one DM than a whole new defence ... Don't think that's really necessary, I believe the stats are With Akpan playing 5 goals conceded No Akpan 12 goals conceded Suggestion is therefore that we only ne...

Re: Injury table and expected return....

You're thinking of John Salako. No I'm not, I'm really not Michael Branch made 2 appearances on loan for Reading in 2002. He came on as a 2nd half sub in a 2-2 draw at home with Oldham and a week later came on at Bristol City in the 2nd half only to pick up a hamstring injury which saw him return t...

Erm, 4 matches without a win before this latest defeat, NigeLOL

Yes but Nigel equates good form with being able to keep possession, never mind that that possession is 90% in our half of the pitch.

He presumably lives around the area so training with his former team mates while he looks for a club wouldn't be too much of a surprise, whether any short term contract with Reading would come out of it though is doubtful.

Re: Adkins Dire

A good manager would sort the defence...its that simple It's not the defence per se it's the lack of any defensive support in front of it, leaving it badly exposed, that's the issue and this is largely due to the horrendous catalogue of injuries going on and on and on and on at the moment. No calls...

BBC Berks reckoned a stonewall penalty for the first(?) call and if not Taylor should have been booked for diving.

The others they thought soft and unlikely to be given at any level.

Doesn't Cooper vary between 6'4" and 7'4" depending on who you're talking to?
